Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in enterprise tech or consulting.

• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Business Analyst (SAP Finance) based in India.

The Business Analyst will play a key role in connecting business needs with technology solutions within a complex enterprise environment. This position combines strong SAP Finance expertise with business analysis, requirements management, and stakeholder engagement. You will work closely with business users, SAP specialists, and technical teams to understand processes, identify gaps, and translate needs into actionable functional requirements. The role offers the opportunity to contribute across the full project lifecycle, from analysis and solution design through testing and implementation. Strong communication and collaboration will be essential when working with distributed teams across international locations. This is a fully remote contract opportunity suited to an experienced SAP Finance professional who can work effectively across business and technical functions. Candidates must also be able to provide meaningful overlap with Canadian business hours.

Accountabilities

• Partner with business stakeholders to understand business needs, processes, objectives, and functional requirements.
• Apply strong SAP Finance knowledge to analyze existing business processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Gather, document, analyze, and validate business and functional requirements.
• Translate business requirements into clear and actionable functional specifications for SAP and technical teams.
• Act as a bridge between business stakeholders, SAP teams, and other technology functions throughout project delivery.
• Support requirements analysis, solution design, testing, implementation, and other activities across the project lifecycle.
• Facilitate and participate in workshops, working sessions, and stakeholder meetings.
• Identify process gaps and recommend practical solutions aligned with business and technology objectives.
• Support the preparation and execution of test scenarios and user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Assist with issue identification, analysis, troubleshooting, and resolution throughout project delivery.
• Maintain accurate requirements, project, and functional documentation.
• Communicate project updates, requirements, risks, dependencies, and key decisions clearly to stakeholders.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience working as a Business Analyst within enterprise technology or consulting environments.
• Strong functional knowledge and hands-on experience with SAP Finance (SAP FI).
• Solid understanding of finance processes supported through SAP, including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), financial accounting, and financial reporting.
• Understanding of integration between SAP Finance and other business functions.
• Proven experience gathering, analyzing, documenting, and validating complex business and functional requirements.
• Strong business process analysis and functional analysis capabilities, with the ability to identify gaps and translate them into effective solutions.
• Experience supporting solution design, testing, UAT, implementation, and issue resolution.Excellent stakeholder management, workshop facilitation, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with excellent attention to documentation and detail.
• Ability to work effectively with both business and technical teams in complex enterprise environments.
• Proven ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with geographically distributed teams.
• Availability to provide significant overlap with Canadian business hours and work until at least 3:00 PM EST on a regular basis.
