Job summary

BDO EDGE India Private Limited, Gurugram, is hiring a Finance Assistant Manager in the Finance & Operations department. The role requires 4-8 years of experience in internal finance and external outsourcing environments, with emphasis on accounting standards (AS/IND AS) and financial statement preparation.

Key duties include preparing accounts, budgeting, cash flow control, payroll-related reporting, tax knowledge (GST, EPF, professional tax), and team leadership.

Qualifications

  • Experience of 5-8 years or more Internal finance for Graduates/Postgraduates/Semi qualified
  • Experience of 4-7 years for MBA/ACCA/CPA or3-6 years for CA Qualified
  • Experience working in an outsourced operations environment required.
  • Demonstrated understanding of Accounting Standard & IND AS and financial statement preparation.
  • Proven ability to lead a team in a deadline-driven environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Monthendclose management experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Preparing all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate AS & IND AS and regulatory requirements; maintaining internal control and safeguards for receipt of revenue, costs, and programme budgets and actual expenditures.
  • Preparing annual budgeting, forecasting and planning process (for the entire company and by department); administering and reviewing all financial plans and comparing to actual results with a view to identifying, explaining and correcting variances as appropriate
  • Prepare weekly cash flow statements, and control expenditure and cash flow
  • Consistently analyzing of financial data and presenting financial reports in an accurate and timely manner; clearly communicate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements; monitor progress, changes and keep senior leadership abreast of the financial status
  • Generate reports related to payroll expenses, taxes and other payroll-related data to help the organization make informed decisions
  • Possess knowledge of GST, withholding taxes, EPF, professional tax, and ensure compliance.
  • Able to draw a plan and to provide training for work responsibility to new team members and cross training across the team and become backup for the work responsibility among team.
  • Communicates effectively with leaders.
  • Able to understand when issues are raised by Associates, Experience Associates, Senior Associates in the team/client and have mindset of researching, analyzing and resolving it in a timely manner working around the establishment TATs (turnaround times).
  • Understanding process and documenting them as detailed SOPs (Standard operating Procedures) as and when required
  • Gathers information necessary from the management to execute on reporting; maintains a running list of information that is needed and follows up to gather information that is missing; organizes this information so it is easily accessible for the team and the management as applicable
