Job summary

The Corporate Institute in Mumbai seeks a Manager – Finance to lead financial controls and ensure timely, accurate reporting in line with Indian Accounting Standards and BFSI expectations.

The role works with management and business unit owners to produce monthly MIS, manage the chart of accounts, cash flow and working capital, and support budgeting, forecasting and data reporting for internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 1–4 years of experience in NBFC, BFSI, or banking background preferred.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and standards.
• Proven ability to analyze financial data and prepare reports for management and external stakeholders.
• Experience in maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Review journal entries, reconcile balances, and prepare financial reports.
• Produce timely MIS with business unit owners and stakeholders.
• Develop and establish reporting data and systems.
• Manage the chart of accounts and ensure GL accuracy.
• Ensure correct classification and booking of transactions.
• Advise on financial and accounting processes and controls.

This role requires an in-depth understanding of Indian Accounting System and BFSI sector together. The incumbent will work closely with the management and business unit owners of the company.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Review journal entries, reconcile account balances, and prepare financial reports.
• Interact with business unit owners and stakeholders to produce timely and accurate monthly Management Information System (MIS).
• Participate in the development and establishment of systems and reporting data.
• Manage the chart of accounts and ensure accuracy in the general ledger.
• Ensure precise classification and booking of all transactions.
• Actively review and advise on financial and accounting processes.
• Manage cash flow and working capital to optimize financial resources.
• Assist budgeting, forecasting, and analysis of financials.Prepare data required by internal and external stakeholders.

Key Skills / Requirements:

• Min 1 – 4 years of experience (NBFC, BFSI, Banking Background Preferred).
