About the Job

Bakuun is building the technology that moves global travel forward: a connected platform spanning hospitality distribution, marketplace operations, payment infrastructure, and property management that helps operators worldwide work smarter, scale faster, and serve guests better. We are at an early and consequential stage of that journey. As Finance Manager, you are the operational foundation of our global finance function. Operating across a multi-entity international footprint, you will ensure that all transactions, reconciliations and ledgers are maintained with accuracy and audit-readiness. This role offers direct exposure to cross-border cash flows, multi-currency settlements and global statutory environments ideal for a finance professional who takes pride in data accuracy and wants hands-on experience in an expanding international platform.

Responsibilities
  • Own and manage day-to-day accounting across multiple global entities, overseeing vendor invoice processing (AP), client billings and collections (AR), and intercompany transaction recording in the ERP, ensuring accuracy and consistency across the team.
  • Review and manage bank, payment gateway, and general ledger reconciliations across multi-currency accounts, identifying and resolving settlement variances and escalations.
  • Lead month-end and year-end closing cycles across assigned entities, preparing and reviewing balance sheet schedules, prepayment/accrual schedules, and fixed asset registers within stipulated deadlines.
  • Prepare and present recurring financial reports and management schedules, including cash position, AR/AP aging, operating expenses, entity-level performance, and multi-entity consolidation inputs, to leadership.
  • Maintain and oversee organized financial documentation across all operating jurisdictions, ensuring records remain fully audit-ready for statutory and tax filings.
  • Liaise directly with global vendors, banking partners, and external auditors to resolve cross-border billing, payment processing, and transaction discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Maintain working oversight of India statutory compliance (EPF, ESIC, TDS, GST, Professional Tax), coordinating with internal resources and/or external consultants to ensure timely filings, without necessarily executing the filings personally.
  • Drive process improvements and controls across the finance function to strengthen accuracy, reduce turnaround time, and support scalability as the company grows.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis inputs for leadership review, as required.
