Job Mission

The mission of the Junior Accountant is to ensure the highest level of accuracy in day-to-day financial record-keeping. You will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of our primary ledgers, supporting GST compliance, and ensuring that all financial transactions are documented and categorized correctly within our accounting systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Bookkeeping and Ledger Management
  • Tally Operations: Handle all day-to-day accounting entries in Tally, including receipts, payments, and journal vouchers.
  • Records Maintenance: Accurately maintain and update purchase, sales, and expense records on a daily basis.
  • Reconciliations: Assist in monthly bank reconciliations and perform regular ledger scrutiny to identify and resolve discrepancies.
• Compliance and Documentation
  • GST Support: Assist the senior finance team in preparing GST workings and maintaining necessary compliance documentation.
  • Audit Readiness: Organize and maintain physical and digital vouchers, invoices, and supporting documents to ensure audit readiness at all times.
• Data Tracking and Reporting
  • Excel Reporting: Manage Excel-based data tracking for specific expense categories and prepare basic periodic reports for management review.
  • Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support to the finance department as required for smooth office operations.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B.Com) or a related field.
• Technical Knowledge: Working knowledge of Tally and a solid grasp of fundamental accounting principles (Double Entry System, Golden Rules of Accounting).
• Excel Proficiency: Basic to intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data entry, simple formulas (SUM, AVERAGE), and data sorting.
• Attention to Detail: Exceptional accuracy in bookkeeping and a high degree of alertness to catch numerical errors.
• Organization: Strong organizational and documentation skills; ability to manage high volumes of paperwork systematically.
• Growth Mindset: A strong willingness to learn advanced accounting practices, tax compliance, and financial reporting.
