Job summary

Legend of Toys in Bengaluru is seeking a Chartered Accountant with 5–7 years of experience in audit or funding to own FP&A, funding readiness, compliance and business planning end to end.

You will defend numbers to investors, guide auditors through schedules, and explain SKU profitability to business heads, working closely with founders in a hands-on role.

Legend of Toys is India's fastest-growing RC car brand, and we are building the finance function it needs. We want a CA with 5 to 7 years in audit or funding to own FP&A, funding readiness, compliance and business planning end to end.

This is a hands-on role close to the founders: defend a number to an investor, walk an auditor through a schedule, and tell a business head why a SKU is losing money.

What you will own

FP&A and business planning

• Build and maintain the annual operating plan, quarterly forecasts and a rolling 13-week cash flow model


• Run channel and SKU-level profitability across D2C and marketplaces, and partner with marketing, sales and ops on pricing, ROI and launches


• Publish a monthly MIS pack with revenue, margins, working capital and variance commentary the founders can act on

Funding and investor readiness

• Own the financial side of fundraising: models, KPI dashboards, investor reporting and data rooms


• Coordinate due diligence (financial, tax and legal) with advisors and investors, and close open items on time


• Keep the cap table, allotments, ESOPs and FEMA / FDI paperwork (including FIRC) clean and audit-ready

Compliance and audit

• Oversee compliance across GST, TDS, Income Tax, PF, ESI, Professional Tax, Companies Act and ROC filings


• Lead statutory, tax and internal audit cycles end to end: schedules, auditor queries and timely sign-off


• Handle notices, assessments and correspondence with authorities and external consultants

Reporting, controls and treasury

• Own monthly, quarterly and annual closes under Ind AS / Indian GAAP, with books reconciliation-ready


• Strengthen internal controls and document SOPs across procurement, sales, payments and inventory


• Own cash planning, bank and credit-line relationships, and the vendor payment cycle


• Push automation of accounting workflows (Tally and any future ERP)

Team leadership

• Lead and mentor the finance team and external consultants, and set the review rhythm that keeps things from slipping

Who you are

Must have

• Chartered Accountant (CA)


• 5 to 7 years in audit (statutory, internal or tax, in a CA firm or Big 4) or in funding (fundraising, due diligence, investor reporting)


• Strong grasp of GST, TDS, Income Tax, Companies Act and Ind AS / Indian GAAP


• Strong financial modelling and advanced Excel; working knowledge of Tally


• Clear communication with founders, auditors and investors

Good to have

• Experience in D2C, e-commerce, consumer brands or multi-channel retail


• Exposure to a growth-stage startup, a funding round or an LDD / FDD process


• Experience with FEMA / FDI compliance, ESOPs or ROC filings
