Job Description:
Our client is looking an experienced and highly skilled Finance Director. As the Finance Head, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the company, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing strategic financial guidance. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in finance, specifically within the banking sector, and possess expertise in exports, MIS, ODI, GST, and profit & loss responsibility.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and procedures to optimize financial performance while adhering to regulatory requirements.
• Oversee the financial operations of the organization, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, taxation, and compliance with banking regulations.
• Provide strategic financial guidance to the executive team, contributing to the overall business strategies and decision‑making process.
• Monitor and review financial performance indicators, identify areas of improvement, and provide recommendations to enhance profitability and efficiency.
• Prepare, review, and analyze accurate and timely financial reports, statements, and budgets, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
• Lead and manage the financial planning and analysis process, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with banks, financial institutions, and stakeholders, ensuring smooth banking operations and access to necessary funding.
• Ensure compliance with GST regulations and other applicable tax laws, overseeing the timely and accurate preparation and filing of tax returns.
• Manage and oversee the exports finance operations, including documentation, compliance, and risk management.
• Responsible for profit & loss responsibility, monitoring financial trends, identifying potential risks, and implementing necessary strategies.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in financial management, exports, MIS, ODI, and GST.
• Manage and mentor a high‑performing finance team, providing guidance, support, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. A Master's degree or professional certification such as CA/CPA/CFA is highly desirable.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in finance, with significant experience in banking and financial management.
• Proficiency in MIS (Management Information System) and ODI for effective data analysis and reporting.
• In‑depth understanding of GST (Goods and Services Tax) regulations and compliance requirements.
• Proven track record in financial management, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Solid experience with profit & loss responsibility and understanding of key drivers impacting financial performance.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with keen attention to detail.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
• Familiarity with banking regulations and banking relationships is highly preferred.
• Experience with ERP systems and financial software is advantageous.
