Job summary

The Corporate Institute in Bengaluru seeks a seasoned Finance Head/ CFO to lead end-to-end finance for a fast-scaling home and interior retail platform. You will own budgeting, forecasting, MIS, board and investor reporting, and cash flow management.

Ideal candidates are Chartered Accountants with 10–12 years of experience, exposure to D2C/Retail, and proven ability to build and scale a finance function in a startup environment.

Qualifications

• Qualified CA with 10–12 years of post-qualification experience.
• Experience managing finance for a 50–300 crore revenue company.
• Startup/scale-up experience strongly preferred.
• D2C/Retail accounting experience is an asset.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting capabilities.
• Hands-on leader in a fast-scaling, ambiguous environment.
• Experience with fundraising, financial due diligence, cap table management, and board reporting.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including investor and stakeholder communication.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end accounting, AR/AP, payroll, taxation, and statutory compliance.
• Finalize Trial Balances and provisions monthly and quarterly.
• Prepare monthly MIS, board decks, and investor reports.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, cash flow planning, and working capital management.
• Manage banking relationships and borrowing requirements.
• Handle financial due diligence, cap table management, and fundraising support.
• Lead audits and ensure timely completion.
• Design financial policies, internal controls, and approval workflows.
• Build and scale the finance team across accounts, FP&A, and compliance.
• Evaluate and implement financial systems.
• Manage external stakeholders, including banks, payroll partners, legal advisors, and CA/CS firms.
