Job summary

Loopwork, a subscription management platform for e-commerce brands, is seeking a Finance Executive in India. You will manage day-to-day accounting, compliance, and financial operations, including payroll coordination, GST/TDS, and audits.

The role demands 3–5 years of hands-on experience and strong numerical skills. You will work with the finance team to ensure accurate books, timely reporting, and adherence to regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of hands-on finance or accounting experience, preferably in a startup or fast-paced environment.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial documentation.

Responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day accounting and ensure timely period closure of books, including bank reconciliations and accruals.
• Maintain accurate books of accounts in accordance with applicable accounting framework.
• Liaise with consultants regarding GST, TDS, ROC, and related compliance requirements.
• Review monthly GST returns, prepare reconciliations, and align books with GST portal.
• Compute and deduct TDS on vendor payments and reconcile with filed returns.
• Conduct data analysis and prepare periodic financial and management reports.
• Support audits and provide required documentation; assist with contract management and month-end closing.

About the Role

Experience: 3–5 years

We are looking for a detail-oriented and responsible Finance Executive to manage day-to-day accounting, compliance, and financial operations. The role involves handling bookkeeping, statutory compliance, reconciliations, payroll coordination, and supporting audits and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day accounting and ensure the timely periodic closure of books, including bank reconciliations, provisions and accruals, ledger scrutiny, vendor payments, and statutory payments
• Maintain accurate books of accounts in accordance with the applicable accounting framework
• Liaise with consultants regarding GST, TDS, ROC, and related compliance requirements
• Review monthly GST returns, prepare reconciliations, and ensure alignment between the books of accounts and the GST portal
• Compute and deduct TDS on vendor payments, review TDS returns, and reconcile the books of accounts with filed TDS returns
• Conduct data analysis and prepare periodic financial and management reports
• Support audits and provide the required documentation when needed
• Assist with legal tasks, including contract management, contract tracking, understanding contractual terms, and supporting contract negotiations
• Assist with month-end closing activities, including journal entries and ledger reconciliations
• Ensure that all supporting documents are maintained for audit and compliance purposes

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance, or a related field
• A master's degree in Finance or Legal will be an added advantage
• 3–5 years of hands-on finance or accounting experience, preferably in a startup or fast-paced environment
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial documentation
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets, including pivot tables and formulas
• Working knowledge of accounting tools and software
• Detail-oriented, with strong numerical and organisational skills
• Strong ownership and accountability
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information
