Job summary

Travelopia, a leading specialist travel group, seeks a Financial Controller – THL & Treasury to lead financial control, treasury reporting, month-end close and statutory compliance across Travelopia Holdings Limited and treasury entities.

You will partner with Group Finance, FP&A, Treasury, Tax and Legal, drive improvements in controls and systems, and manage global collaborations with India and the UK teams, in a fast-paced, multinational setting.

  • Qualified Accountant with strong technical accounting expertise.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the month-end close process for THL and Treasury entities, ensuring accurate, timely and compliant financial reporting.
  • Own balance sheet governance, reconciliations, intercompany accounting and treasury reporting, maintaining a strong control environment.
  • Prepare and review management accounts, variance analysis, statutory reporting and Group consolidation submissions.
  • Partner with FP&A, Treasury, Tax, Legal and Group Finance teams to support reporting, compliance and business decision-making.
  • Oversee VAT, regulatory reporting, cash flow reporting, payment governance and financial control activities.
  • Support technical accounting matters, audit requirements and the preparation of statutory financial statements.
  • Drive continuous improvement across finance processes, controls, automation and systems, including SAP and related finance platforms.
  • Act as a key contact for internal and external auditors, ensuring all financial information is accurate, compliant and audit-ready.
  • Provide guidance and support to finance and non-finance stakeholders on financial processes, controls and best practices.
  • Collaborate with global teams across the UK and India, fostering strong stakeholder relationships and promoting operational excellence

In this high-impact global role, you will lead financial control, treasury reporting, month-end close and statutory compliance across Travelopia Holdings Limited and associated treasury entities. Partnering with Group Finance, FP&A, Treasury, Tax and Legal teams, you will help ensure accurate financial reporting, robust controls and continuous improvement across our international business.

What You’ll Do:

What you’ll bring:

  • Qualified Accountant (CA / ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent) with strong technical accounting expertise.
  • Proven experience as a Financial Controller or in a similar financial control role within a global, multi-entity organization.
  • Strong experience managing month-end close processes, ensuring accuracy of financial reporting for Head Office and Treasury entities.
  • Demonstrated expertise in balance sheet reconciliations, intercompany accounting, statutory reporting, and audited financial statements.
  • Experience working across global finance environments and partnering with international stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of VAT, financial compliance, regulatory reporting, and internal controls.
  • Mandatory experience with SAP; exposure to HFM and group consolidation tools is highly desirable.
  • Solid accounting background with strong financial control and governance principles.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and challenge constructively.
  • High attention to detail, strong ownership mindset, and ability to deliver results in a fast-paced environment.Proficiency in Excel is desirable.
  • Interest in finance transformation, automation, AI, and continuous process improvement.
  • Flexible to support global stakeholders while primarily working within the India time zone.
