We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as Finance Controller - US, Mexico and Cayman, reporting to the Regional Financial Controller. This full-time, permanent position is based in Mumbai, India and offers regional coverage, allowing you to make a significant impact on our Group Finance team and its growth.
The Controller for the US, Mexico, and Cayman corporates (global services) and funds business will oversee Balance Sheet and P&L, reporting to the Regional Financial Controller. Responsible for the accurate production of timely month-end and year-end results, and ensuring key processes and controls are adopted across the US, Mexico, and Cayman to safeguard the integrity of the financial indicators.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting the Regional Financial Controller in delivering high-quality management accounts & information for US, Mexico, Cayman, and Group Reporting
- Driving the finance transformation agenda for these regions and funds, integrating different units into a single P&L, and leveraging offshore capacity and capability
- Managing the month-end & year-end close processes, and assisting with planning cycles (budget & forecast)
- Analyzing performance against KPIs and identifying potential improvements
- Managing working capital, including cash flow analysis for period-end reporting, forecasts, and budgets, while adhering to group treasury policies
- Preparing and presenting the monthly board reporting pack as required
- Promoting a culture of performance and continuous improvement across finance operations, leading the ERP system implementation (SAP/S4HANA)
- Acting as the primary contact for external auditors and managing that relationship
- Managing federal and state tax matters as applicable
- Ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting for Group reporting
- Managing onshore and offshore accounting staff and coordinating with other teams on billing and payables
- Playing a key role in the ERP program with the new SAP/S4HANA implementation
- Undertaking any other ad-hoc projects as assigned
Key requirements:
- Qualified Chartered Accountant with at least 15 years of relevant experience
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to interpret financial information concisely
- Experience with financial system migration, especially SAP, is advantageous
- Confident communicator and team player
- Excellent planning and organizational skills
- Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills
- Experience with IFRS and US GAAP
- Comfortable operating at SMT level
- High level of self-accountability
- Experience in financial or professional services is desirable
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
