Job summary

Elior Group, a leading global food services company, seeks an experienced Financial Controller for its India business in Bengaluru. The role focuses on consolidation, closure, tax governance and IFRS/IGAAP reporting to Group HQ.

The ideal candidate is a Chartered Accountant with 10+ years' experience, SAP proficient, strong communication, and strategic thinking. Travel flexibility is required as part of the role.

Qualifications

• Chartered Accountant with extensive experience in finance and accounting (CA).
• 10+ years in finance and accounting field.
• SAP knowledge.
• Proficient in liaising and negotiating.

Responsibilities

• Timely consolidation of numbers and close of Head Office books.
• Submit performance pack and BFC packs to the group.
• Manage direct and indirect tax issues for the entities.
• Manage statutory and tax audits and implement auditor findings.
• Develop best financial accounting practices and internal controls.
• Review MIS reports and provide management with variances, margins, inventory, Capex, DSO & DPO analyses.
• Report in line with IGAAP and IFRS.
• Adhere to group reporting, compliance, internal control, and fraud risk analysis.
• Direct and indirect tax planning, filing returns, and representation.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced Financial Controller for our India Business

Key roles and responsibilities

• Timely consolidation of numbers and timely and accurate closure of Head Office books
• Timely Submission of the performance pack and BFC (Balance sheet and P&L) pack to the group
• Ensuring all direct and indirect tax issues of the entities are managed
• Managing statutory and tax audits as per set timeline, analysing & implementing auditor’s findings and recommendations
• Developing best financial accounting practices & control procedures and continuous monitoring to maximize impact and efficiency
• Review of MIS reports to provide feedback to top management on financial performance, viz. variance analysis, margin % with respect to budget, inventory analysis, Capex spend, Days Sales Outstanding & Days Payable Outstanding analysis
• Reporting of Financial Statements in compliance with International Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (IGAAP) & International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
• Adherence to Group's Reporting & Compliance requirement on submission of financials reports, internal control and Fraud & Risk Analysis
• Responsible for Direct and Indirect Tax Planning, filling of returns and representation before various authorities

Secondary Responsibilities

• Facilitating with System Development Team in developing customized reports to maximize management information system for financial reporting
• Assisting Functional Heads to improve their financial awareness and provided them with relevant financial information for their operations

Role Outcome

• Effective internal controls for reliable financial reporting & safeguarding the company's assets through Order to Cash (O2C) and Procure to Pay (P2P)
• Group taxation and group statutory audit
