Job summary

IHG Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Finance and Business Support Manager to balance books and manage owners, auditors and regulatory needs while driving hotel profitability.

You will lead a team, uphold high accounting standards, analyse financial data, forecast outcomes, and safeguard assets. The role covers accounts payable, purchasing, payroll and financial controls in a dynamic hotel environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance required.
• 4–8 years’ experience in hotel accounting or auditing with at least 1 year in an Assistant Controller or similar supervisory role.
• Knowledge of accounting management duties including payroll, tax, asset management and government reporting.
• Professional accounting or finance designation preferred.
• Must speak local language(s); additional languages beneficial.

A little taste of your day-to-day: Bottom line? We’re looking for a new Finance and Business Support Manager comfortable with balancing the books when it comes to managing the needs of owners, auditors and regulatory agencies while also monitoring and improving hotel profitability. In return, we’ll put our financial operations and the security of our hotel assets in your expert hands.

Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:

• Managing and coaching your team to ensure the right person is always on the right task
• Setting exceptional accounting practice standards and ensuring financial control procedures remain ethical and legal
• Maximising financial returns through financial analysis, data trends and market information – while budgeting accordingly
• Enhancing the guest experience through improved payment options, inventory controls and financial dispute resolution
• Supervising a number of clerical accounting employees across a range of functions – from Accounts Payable to Purchasing and Payroll.

What We need from you:

• Bachelor’s degree / higher education qualification / equivalent in Accounting and Finance
• 4-8 years’ experience in hotel accounting or auditing with at least one year in an Assistant Controller or similar supervisory role, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience
• Knowledge of accounting management duties e.g., negotiating hotel space and tenant leases, processing payroll, performing asset management duties, providing business projections, displacement analysis, preparing government reports, filing tax returns etc
• Professional accounting or finance designation or certification preferred
• Must speak local language(s)
• Other languages beneficial
