Job summary

IHG Hotels & Resorts in Bengaluru seeks an experienced hospitality sales professional to cultivate and manage relationships with corporate, travel trade, government, and leisure clients. You will collaborate with Revenue, Reservations, Front Office, and F&B teams to maximize revenue opportunities and ensure flawless execution of events and guest requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Hotel Management, Business Administration, Marketing or related field.
  • 3–5 years of sales experience in hospitality, preferably with an international hotel brand.
  • Strong knowledge of hotel sales, corporate business development, MICE, and revenue generation.
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and hotel CRM or sales management systems.
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret market trends and sales performance.
  • Self-motivated, target-driven, and able to work independently and in a team.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with a customer-focused approach.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective corporate, travel trade, government, and leisure clients.
  • Work closely with Revenue, Reservations, Front Office, and F&B teams to maximize revenue opportunities.
  • Coordinate with department heads to ensure seamless execution of group bookings, events, and guest requirements.
  • Mentor and support junior sales team members, sharing best practices and market knowledge.
  • Participate in hotel sales meetings and contribute to the achievement of departmental goals.
  • Represent the hotel at networking events, trade shows, and industry functions to strengthen business relationships.
  • Achieve individual and team revenue targets for room sales, meetings, conferences, and events.
  • Develop and implement effective sales plans to increase market share and profitability.
  • Identify new business opportunities and expand the hotel's customer base.
  • Monitor competitor activities, market trends, and pricing strategies to maximize business opportunities.
  • Prepare accurate sales forecasts, reports, and revenue analysis for management review.
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing within approved guidelines to optimize revenue and profitability.

  • Respond promptly to client enquiries, proposals, and follow-ups to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Work closely with guests and event organizers to ensure successful execution of meetings and events.
Responsible Business
  • Ensure compliance with IHG brand standards, company policies, and ethical sales practices.
  • Maintain accurate client records, sales activities, and account information in the CRM system.
  • Protect confidential business information and maintain professional integrity in all client interactions.
  • Support hotel sustainability initiatives and promote responsible business practices.
  • Participate in community engagement and local business networking activities to enhance the hotel's market presence.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support hotel operations and business objectives.
