Job summary

ShipDelight Logistics Technologies in Mumbai is seeking a Finance & Business Analyst to join the Accounts & Finance team and work closely with the Head Accounts & Finance. This role spans MIS, FP&A, P&L analysis, business performance and financial due diligence.

You will build dashboards, analyse variances, support budgeting and fundraising, and coordinate financial data across sales, operations and HR. A strong Excel skillset, data-driven mindset and ability to work with large datasets are

• Strong understanding of P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow and financial statements.
• Excellent MS Excel skills including Pivot Tables and lookups.
• Experience in MIS and management reporting.

Responsibilities

• MIS & Management Reporting: Prepare periodic MIS and management reports; Build dashboards; Analyze performance vs budgets; Identify variances; Ensure timely reporting.
• P&L & Financial Analysis: Support monthly/periodic P&L; Analyze revenue, costs, margins; Prepare variance analyses; Support budgeting and forecasting.
• Fundraising & Investment Support: Support fundraising and investment initiatives; Prepare schedules and information for investors; Assist with presentations and analysis.
• Due Diligence & Financial Data Room: Support financial due diligence; Organise records; Create a structured data room; Ensure completeness and accuracy.
• Cross-functional Finance Support: Work with Sales, Ops, HR and others to collect financial data; Ensure timely finance requirements; Act as finance contact.
• Finance Process Improvement: Improve finance processes and reporting systems; Identify automation opportunities; Maintain audit trails.
• Strategic Finance Projects: Work with Head Accounts & Finance on strategic projects; Analyse business performance, profitability, cost optimisation, fundraising.

We are looking for a Finance & Business Analyst to join our Accounts & Finance team and work closely with the Head Accounts & Finance.

This is a business-facing finance role for someone who wants exposure beyond routine accounting and wants to work across MIS, FP&A, P&L analysis, business performance, fundraising, investment support and financial due diligence.

What You Will Do

MIS & Management Reporting

• Prepare periodic MIS and management reports.
• Build dashboards covering key financial and business metrics.
• Analyse actual performance against budgets, forecasts and previous periods.
• Identify trends, variances and areas requiring management attention.
• Ensure accurate and timely reporting.

P&L & Financial Analysis

• Support preparation and analysis of monthly/periodic P&L.
• Analyse revenue, costs, margins, profitability and expense drivers.
• Prepare variance analysis and management insights.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning.
• Provide financial inputs to business teams for decision-making.

Fundraising & Investment Support

• Support ongoing fundraising and investment initiatives.
• Prepare financial schedules, analysis and supporting information for investors and stakeholders.
• Assist with management presentations and financial analysis.
• Coordinate internally to ensure timely availability of required information.

Due Diligence & Financial Data Room

• Support internal and external financial due diligence.
• Organise financial records, reconciliations, schedules and supporting documents.
• Create and maintain a structured financial data room.
• Ensure information is complete, accurate, updated and properly categorised.
• Identify data gaps or inconsistencies and coordinate their resolution.

Cross-functional Finance Support

• Work with Sales, Operations, HR, Business and other internal teams to collect and validate financial information.
• Follow up with stakeholders and ensure timely closure of finance requirements.
• Act as a finance point of contact for cross-functional requirements.

Finance Process Improvement

• Support improvement of finance processes, reporting systems and internal controls.
• Identify opportunities to automate repetitive reporting activities.
• Maintain proper documentation and audit trails.

Strategic Finance Projects

• Work directly with the Head Accounts & Finance on strategic projects.
• Support analysis related to business performance, profitability, cost optimisation, fundraising, investments and financial planning.

What We Are Looking For :

• 25 years of relevant experience in FP&A, MIS, financial analysis, corporate finance or a similar role.
• Strong understanding of P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow and financial statements.
• Strong working knowledge of MS Excel, including Pivot Tables, Lookups, data analysis and financial modelling.
• Strong MIS and management reporting skills.
• Good analytical and problem-solving ability.
• Ability to work with large datasets and convert them into meaningful business insights.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to independently coordinate with multiple teams and drive closure.
• Exposure to fundraising, investment transactions, due diligence, audits or financial data-room preparation will be an advantage.
• Strong ownership mindset and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
