Job summary

Stealth Startup in Bengaluru, India invites a Finance Associate to manage books and financial operations for a global SaaS portfolio, with exposure to US-based entities and Indian compliance. The role blends core accounting with tax, reporting, and evolving advisory work.

You will work hands-on across QuickBooks, Zoho Books, and Tally, perform FP&A activities, prepare MIS, and support valuations, ESOP design, and due diligence as the organization scales.

Qualifications

• Passed CA Intermediate or equivalent.
• Hands-on experience with US accounting / US GAAP – central to the role.
• Strong foundational knowledge of accounting and taxation.
• Working knowledge of QuickBooks.

Responsibilities

• Record and maintain transactions across QuickBooks, Zoho Books, and Tally.
• Handle day-to-day accounting of invoices, and monitor revenue and expenses from an FP&A perspective.
• Perform reconciliations, including bank and tax reconciliations.
• Compute income and assist with filing ITRs, ROC returns, and GSTRs.
• Support tax planning, structuring, and optimization.
• Assist with forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis.
• Prepare MIS reports for senior management.
• Contribute to financial statements, including notes to accounts.
• Prepare proforma financials and consolidations.
• Project cash flows and working-capital needs.
• Carry out valuations using DCF and other methods.
• Develop and implement ESOP policies.
• Support due diligence activities.
• Draft SOPs and run risk assessments and process audits to detect revenue leakage and optimize expenses.

The Role

As a Finance Associate, you'll help run the books and financial operations for a global portfolio of SaaS startups, with significant exposure to US-based companies (QuickBooks) alongside Indian entity compliance. The role is structured as a progressive learning journey — you'll move from core accounting into taxation, reporting, and eventually strategic advisory work like valuations, ESOP design, and due diligence.

This is a hands-on seat for someone who wants deep, wide exposure to how startups are actually run financially — not a narrow, single-function role.

What You'll Do

Bookkeeping & accounting

• Record and maintain transactions across QuickBooks, Zoho Books, and Tally
