Job summary

GSSTech Group seeks a seasoned Finacle Techno-Functional Consultant to own end‑to‑end technical and functional support across the Finacle core banking platform. You will diagnose production issues, write Finacle scripts, and translate business requirements into configurations while coordinating with stakeholders during high‑pressure incidents.

You will configure modules (CASA, TD, Loans), develop PL/SQL procedures, review scripts for performance, and support API integration, UAT, and go‑live

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience as a Finacle Techno‑Functional Consultant (Finacle 10.x/11.x - specify version)
• Strong hands‑on expertise in Finacle Scripting and PL/SQL (stored procedures, performance tuning, indexing strategy)
• Deep functional knowledge of CASA, TD, and Loans modules including parameterization and product setup
• Proven track record managing EOD/BOD batch operations in a live banking environment
• Solid understanding of Finacle architecture: application server, database layer, and interface layer
• Experience with API integration (REST/SOAP), including debugging payload/data mapping issues
• Working knowledge of Oracle database internals relevant to Finacle (partitioning, indexing, query tuning)
• Familiarity with ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change Management)
• Strong stakeholder management, with the ability to communicate technical issues to business/non‑technical audiences
• Experience supporting UAT, deployment, and post‑go‑live stabilization phases

Role Overview

We are looking for a seasoned Finacle Techno-Functional Consultant to own end-to-end technical and functional support across the Finacle core banking platform. This role sits at the intersection of business and technology, requiring someone who can independently diagnose production issues, write and optimize Finacle scripts, and translate business requirements into system configuration or customization, while managing stakeholders directly during high-pressure incident cycles.

Key Responsibilities

Production Support & Incident Management

• Perform rapid root cause analysis (RCA) on production incidents (P1/P2/P3) and problem tickets, ensuring resolution within defined SLAs
• Debug and fix issues across Finacle application, database, and batch layers
• Conduct trend analysis on recurring incidents to drive permanent fixes rather than workarounds
• Maintain incident and problem ticket documentation per ITIL/change management standards

Configuration, Customization & Development

• Configure and customize Finacle modules to meet evolving business and regulatory requirements
• Write, debug, and optimize Finacle Scripts (FCJS/Groovy based scripting, depending on version) for business rule implementation
• Develop and optimize PL/SQL procedures, functions, packages, and triggers for data processing and reporting needs
• Review and enhance existing scripts/customizations for performance and maintainability

Core Module Expertise

• Provide functional and technical support across CASA (Current & Savings Accounts), Term Deposits (TD), and Loans modules
• Handle interest calculation logic, charges, GL mapping, and product parameterization issues
• Support loan lifecycle processes: disbursement, repayment schedules, NPA classification, and closure

Batch & EOD/BOD Processing

• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize EOD (End of Day) and BOD (Beginning of Day) batch cycles
• Identify and resolve batch job failures, sequencing issues, and performance bottlenecks
• Coordinate with infra/DBA teams during batch escalations to minimize downtime impact on business hours

API & Integration

• Design, build, and troubleshoot API integrations between Finacle and upstream/downstream systems (payment gateways, CRM, regulatory reporting systems, etc.)
• Optimize API response times and resolve integration failures across REST/SOAP based Finacle interfaces
• Work with integration teams to ensure data consistency across interfaced systems

Stakeholder Management

• Act as the primary technical point of contact for business users raising issues, translating functional pain points into technical fixes
• Communicate incident status, root cause, and resolution timelines clearly to non-technical stakeholders
• Participate in daily stand‑ups, war rooms, and steering committee updates during critical incidents

Testing & Deployment Support

• UAT cycles, including test case preparation, defect triaging, and business sign‑off coordination
• Manage deployment activities including pre-checks, release notes, and rollback planning
• Provide post-implementation support (hypercare) following go‑lives or major releases
