Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Field Services Engineer role based in Bengaluru. The Field Services Engineer will install, commission, and maintain BPL medical equipment at customer locations, ensuring that devices operate safely and accurately. The role includes performing troubleshooting and repairs, conducting preventive maintenance, and providing technical support and training to end users. The engineer will document service activities, maintain service records, and coordinate with internal teams to resolve complex technical issues. Day-to-day work involves visiting customer sites, responding to service requests, and delivering professional customer service that supports high equipment uptime and satisfaction.

Qualifications
  • Strong field service skills, including on-site installation, commissioning, and equipment handling.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and diagnosing hardware and software issues in medical devices.
  • Experience in technical support, including guiding users and resolving escalated technical queries.
  • Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices and adherence to safety and quality standards.
  • Demonstrated customer service skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and manage expectations.
  • Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electronics, Electrical, or a related technical field.
  • Ability to travel to customer sites, work independently in the field, and manage time effectively.
  • Familiarity with medical equipment, hospital environments, and relevant regulatory and safety guidelines is an advantage.
  • Basic computer skills for service reporting and documentation.
