Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking an on-site service engineer in Chennai to perform installation, maintenance, and repair of critical medical machinery. You will train customers, support sales with technical insights, and ensure high-quality service at client sites.

You will also manage spare parts, document activities in CRM and Field Service Reports, and mentor junior engineers while coordinating with the Area Technical Manager for preventive maintenance schedules.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site technical interventions including installation, training, repair, and maintenance.
• Engage with customers to deliver technical support and build strong relationships.
• Collaborate with sales and dealer teams by sharing technical insights to drive growth.
• Complete required technical training and assessments to enhance proficiency.
• Achieve service targets by negotiating and securing service contracts and spare parts sales.
• Oversee spare parts inventory and tools to ensure adequate stock.
• Document activities in Field Service Reports and CRM, ensuring accurate data entry.
• Mentor junior engineers through escalation support and customer relationship building.
• Support Area Technical Manager with preventive maintenance scheduling.
• Assist other locations on resource allocation when needed.

Job description

• Provide on-site technical interventions, including installation, training, repair, and maintenance, to ensure optimal operation of machinery at client sites.
• Engage with customers to deliver necessary technical support, fostering strong and positive customer relationships.
• Collaborate with the sales and dealer teams by sharing technical insights and support to enhance sales opportunities and business growth.
• Complete required technical training and assessments to continually enhance technical proficiency and deliver high-quality service to clients.
• Achieve service targets by negotiating and securing Service Contracts and spare part sales, while managing billing, invoicing, and accounts receivable related to routine service activities.
• Oversee personal inventory, including spare parts and tools, ensuring adequate stock levels and proper management.
• Execute technical tasks assigned by team leadership in a timely and efficient manner.
• Utilize technical management systems effectively to ensure accurate and complete data entry.
• Document all technical activities thoroughly in Field Service Reports, CRM software, and other prescribed administrative records.
• Mentor junior engineers through technical escalation support and customer relationship building
• Aid and support your Area Technical Manager in managing the cadence of Preventive Maintenance and timely installations
• Support other Area Technical Manager locations when Dynamic Resource Allocation is required and requested by your manager
• Monthly KPI evaluation for Engg. & Sr. Engg. For a defined cluster
• Takes up managing clusters and support cluster engineers on operational activities
