Agilent Technologies India Pvt Ltd. is seeking an experienced field service engineer to support GCMS installations, configurations, and maintenance at customer sites in Bharuch.

You will diagnose performance issues, perform preventive maintenance, calibrate equipment, and collaborate with internal teams to deliver complete solutions. The role requires a Master’s degree in a relevant science, 5+ years of field experience, and strong communication, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a relevant science discipline is required.
• Minimum around 5 years of relevant field experience at entry level.
• Strong communication and problem solving, with good organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Installs and optimizes GCMS hardware/software/network configurations at customer sites.
• Diagnoses and resolves GCMS performance issues to minimize downtime.
• Performs on-site maintenance and repair services for instruments.
• Advises on preventive maintenance and configurations impacting performance.
• Delivers integrated solutions including peripherals, OS and applications.
• Collaborates with Support, Sales, Marketing and R&D to provide customer solutions.
• Makes on-site calibration for large-volume customers when required.
• Participates in training and workshops for field engineers or customers.

Job DescriptionJob Location: BharuchResponsible for supporting customers through on-site activities such as installation, implementation, maintenance and repair of Agilent GCMS and multi-vendor systems solutions which may include hardware, software and networking products as well as operating systems.Installs and optimizes hardware/software/network GCMS products and configurations at customer sites.Diagnoses and resolves GCMS product performance problems.Performs maintenance and repair services.Ensures customer satisfaction by advising customers on preventive maintenance and configurations, which may impact product performance.Proactively responds to potential equipment or software issues to prevent unplanned interruption of customers' business.Delivers (does not design) fully integrated solutions, which may include peripherals, communications, operating systems and applications software.Serves as an internal resource on technical issues and manages product escalations Collaborates with Agilent teams such as Support, Sales, Marketing and R&D to provide solutions to customers.May have knowledge of third-party products.May deliver internal technical training and maintenance seminars and workshops for field engineers or customers.May train other field engineers or customers.May calibrate equipment on-site for large volume customers.May qualify leads.Must consent to participate and meet Agilent approved customer/vendor credentialing requirements necessary to gain access to customer sites.Requirements may include, but are not limited to, proof of identification, proof of certification to perform the work required, customer health and safety requirements, etc.QualificationsMaster’s Degree in Chemistry/Analytical Chemistry/Instrumentation/Pharmacy/Biotechnology/Life Science or equivalent.Relevant basic/theoretical knowledge of analytical instruments like GCMS.Typically, at least 5+ years relevant experience for entry to this level.Excellent numerical, verbal and written communication, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills along with good organizational & negotiation skills.Additional DetailsThis job has a full time weekly schedule.Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
