Job summary

Virya Autonomous Technologies is seeking an Engineer (Regional Lead) – Field Applications to join our Field Engineering team. You will support on-site deployment, commissioning, and ongoing AMR system service at customer locations across north and west India.

You will lead a team of up to 10, handle installation, breakdown troubleshooting, and performance monitoring, and train operators on the ground to keep systems running in real industrial environments.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Robotics/Mechatronics Engineering or related discipline - 5 years of relevant experience – immediate joiners only.
• Basic understanding of mechatronics systems and electrical, mechanical, and control fundamentals.
• Familiarity with sensors, motors, and automation concepts used in AMR platforms.
• Basic exposure to Python, C++, and Ubuntu OS terminal commands.
• Ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, and operational issues under guidance.
• Willingness to travel extensively for site deployment and service support.
• Good communication skills for operator interaction and training, with a strong learning attitude.

Responsibilities

• Attend breakdown calls and troubleshoot hardware, software, and operational issues on deployed systems.
• Coordinate with internal technical teams to diagnose and resolve field issues.

• Train operators and supervisors on safe and effective AMR usage.
• Support adherence to SOPs and operational best practices at customer locations.
• Maintain field visit records, issue logs, and service documentation for each site.
