Job summary

Infosys is seeking a FHIR data analyst to leverage domain expertise in healthcare data using HL7 and FHIR standards. You will perform ETL, ensure interoperability across healthcare systems, and provide insights through data analysis and reporting while ensuring regulatory compliance.

You will work in a client-facing role, develop interface specifications, validate data quality, and drive product backlog with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of HL7 FHIR implementation experience.
• Deep knowledge of HL7 FHIR 4.0.1 and healthcare data formats.
• Experience with FHIR implementation guides like DaVinci, CARIN, US Core.
• Ability to perform data mapping to FHIR data model.
• Experience with SDLC, requirements gathering, UAT, and testing.
• Experience with client-facing engagements and cross-functional teams.

Job Description

In the role of a FHIR data analyst, you will be expected to leverage your domain expertise to understand, manage and analyse healthcare data using HL7 and FHIR standards. The role will involve ETL of data to ensure seamless integration across various healthcare systems. You are required to provide industry wide knowledge and insights to complex business needs since you will be in a client facing role. The role will require you to provide insights through data analysis, develop reporting solutions and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop interface specifications, test, validate and trouble-shoot interfaces between medical information systems. Work closely with cross functional teams to design, implement and maintain data solutions that enhance interoperability and data exchange.
• Monitor and maintain data quality by identifying, diagnosing and resolving data related issues. Implement data validation and cleansing procedures to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Drive Business requirements grooming sessions to develop product backlog and elaborate functional specifications for an IT solution, using ALM tools like Jira, Rally, RRC & RTC.
• Analyse the business needs, defines detailed requirements, and provides potential solutions/approaches with the business stakeholders
• Document as-is & to-be Business processes, assessing the Business models, systems, and integration with technology.
• Work closely with Product Owners and Business Stakeholders to analyse requirements & prepare Product Backlog items.
• Prepare user stories, prepare acceptance criteria for user stories, and manage product backlog, with prioritization.
• For stakeholders and customers, act as a bridge between the Business requirements and the technology solutions and testing.
• Expertise in Software dev. lifecycle and working experience in Agile methodologies & tools.
• Experienced in Leading & Managing Agile projects, Team, SLAs, Operations, SOW compliance, Risks, Quality & Budget.
• Participate in account / unit level strategic initiatives
• Identify new growth opportunities and support proposal and solution activities
• Good understanding of project management activities and project budgeting

Required (Mandatory)

• At least 4 years of experience in HL7 FHIR implementation. Experience in developing interface specifications, testing, validating and trouble-shooting interfaces between medical information systems.
• Deep knowledge of HL7 FHIR 4.0.1 standard and of healthcare data, clinical data in both proprietary and industry standard formats (HL7)
• Knowledge of FHIR implementation guides like DaVinci, CARIN, US Core etc.
• Ability to perform data mapping for clinical data coming from source system to FHIR data model
• Experience performing data mapping of Source data sets to FHIR resources
• Proficient in all phases of the System Development Life Cycle e.g. gathering requirements, modelling use cases, analysing data, developing technical specifications, resolving issues, user acceptance testing, tracking schedules & tasks and documenting processes for training manuals.
• Experience in driving meetings with client business leads & cross functional stakeholders.
• Conversant with more visual, more design-thinking based, and more agile lightweight approaches such as customer personas, customer journeys, story maps, etc.
• Excellent soft skills - written and verbal communication
• Global exposure to a multi-cultural organization structure

Education Qualifications

• Graduate/Postgraduate B. Tech or equivalent. MBA preferable.
• Any relevant certification will be an added advantage – AHIP, AHM, PHM
