Job summary

Supreme Facility Management in Dewas, India, seeks a Fettling Supervisor with a Diploma in Mechanical and 5-7 years of CIF fettling experience to lead production activities on the shop floor and drive targets with zero defects.

You will supervise fettlers and helpers, ensure safety, manage tools, and maintain daily output logs while coordinating with quality and dispatch teams.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience in CIF Fettling.
• Diploma in Mechanical engineering.
• Experience in operations supervision and meeting production targets.
• Knowledge of fettling equipment and safety practices.
• Experience in quality control and reporting.
• Ability to train workers and manage shifts.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily activities like gate/riser cutting, chipping, grinding, dressing, and shot blasting.
• Increase the daily production target with zero rejection of castings.
• Check finished castings for dimensional accuracy and surface defects; segregate accepted, rework, and rejected parts.
• Assign daily tasks to fettlers and helpers across shifts; monitor attendance.
• Manage tools like pneumatic chippers, grinders, and blasting machines; track wear and maintenance; maintain stock inventory.
• Enforce PPE usage and 5S on the shop floor; maintain daily output and rejection logs; coordinate with quality and dispatch teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Operations Supervision: Oversee daily activities like gate/riser cutting, chipping, grinding, dressing, and shot blasting. Increase the daily target in production with zero rejection of castings.
• Quality Control: Check finished castings for dimensional accuracy and surface defects. Segregate accepted, rework, and rejected parts. And credit to casting yard.
• Manpower Management: Assign daily tasks to fettlers and helpers across shifts, track attendance, and train workers on safe methods.
• Equipment & Tool Control: Manage tools like pneumatic chippers, grinders, and blasting machines, tracking consumable wear and maintenance needs. Maintain monthly stock inventory.
• Safety & Housekeeping: Enforce safety gear usage (PPE) and maintain 5S workplace organization on the shop floor.
• Reporting: Maintain daily logs on output, rejections, rework rates, and coordinate with quality and dispatch teams
