Qualifications

• Graduate in Fashion Design, Fashion Merchandising, Textile Technology, or related field.
• 1–4 years of experience in fashion merchandising, garment sourcing, or production coordination.
• Understanding of fabric sourcing, garment construction, sampling, costing, and production.
• Experience coordinating with vendors and manufacturing units preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sourcing & Vendor Management: identify and coordinate with fabric suppliers and garment manufacturers, negotiate pricing and lead times.
• Product Development & Sampling: work with designers on requirements, manage prototyping, fittings, and revisions.
• Costing & Purchase Coordination: prepare cost sheets, evaluate quotes, and track procurement.
• Production Planning & Follow-up: monitor progress and schedules, resolve delays with stakeholders.
• Dispatch & Documentation: ensure timely dispatch, maintain records and communicate status.

Job Summary

Bellpep Lifestyles Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Fashion Merchandiser Sourcing & Production to manage the end-to-end product development and production process. The role involves fabric and material sourcing, costing, sampling, vendor coordination, production tracking, quality coordination, and timely dispatch of finished products. The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of garment manufacturing processes, sourcing practices, production timelines, and vendor management, along with strong coordination and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

1. Sourcing & Vendor Management

• Identify, evaluate, and coordinate with fabric suppliers, garment manufacturers, and other vendors.
• Source fabrics, trims, accessories, and other materials as per design specifications, quality standards, and budget requirements.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely procurement and competitive pricing.
• Negotiate pricing, lead times, minimum order quantities (MOQs), and other commercial terms with vendors.
• Maintain an updated database of approved vendors, suppliers, and sourcing details.

2. Product Development & Sampling

• Coordinate with the fashion designer to understand product requirements, specifications, and timelines.
• Manage the sampling process, including prototype development, sample follow-ups, fittings, and revisions.
• Ensure samples meet the required design, fabric, fit, construction, and quality specifications.
• Track sample approvals and communicate necessary changes to vendors and production teams.
• Ensure timely completion of product development activities before production commencement.

3. Costing & Purchase Coordination

• Prepare product cost sheets covering fabric, trims, accessories, manufacturing, and other applicable costs.
• Evaluate vendor quotations and identify cost-effective sourcing options without compromising product quality.
• Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to ensure accurate costing and adherence to budget requirements.
• Assist in preparing purchase orders and tracking material procurement, as required.
• Monitor material consumption, costing variations, and potential cost-saving opportunities.

4. Production Planning & Follow-up

• Coordinate with vendors and manufacturing units to ensure production activities are completed as per agreed timelines.
• Monitor production progress from material procurement to final garment completion.
• Follow up regularly on production schedules, material availability, and order status.
• Identify potential delays or production challenges and coordinate with relevant stakeholders to resolve them.
• Maintain production trackers and provide regular updates on order status, pending activities, and delivery schedules.

5. Dispatch & Documentation

• Coordinate with vendors, and logistics to ensure timely dispatch of finished products.
• Track order completion, packing status, dispatch schedules, and delivery commitments.
• Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, costing sheets, sample approvals, production updates, and dispatch documents.
• Ensure all required product and shipment documentation is completed and maintained.
• Communicate dispatch status and delivery updates to the relevant internal teams.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Graduate in Fashion Design, Fashion Merchandising, Textile Technology, Apparel Manufacturing, or a related field.
• 1–4 years of relevant experience in fashion merchandising, garment sourcing, production coordination, or apparel manufacturing.
• Practical understanding of fabric sourcing, garment construction, sampling, costing, and production processes.
• Experience in coordinating with vendors, suppliers, and manufacturing units will be preferred.
