Job summary

BIMEX Engineers is seeking a skilled Facade Designer to join our facade team in Kerala. The role focuses on creating and maintaining curtain walls, cladding, GRC, and external facade systems using AutoCAD, with close collaboration with architects and engineers.

Responsibilities include review and preparation of shop drawings, GA drawings, elevations, sections, and installation details, plus coordinating with stakeholders to resolve design queries and ensure compliance with standards.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil, Architecture, or related field.
• 4+ years of experience creating detailed facade drawings using AutoCAD.
• Solid knowledge of facade concepts and software including AutoCAD and Revit.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication and collaboration with project stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Review architectural, structural, and façade drawings to understand project requirements and issues.
• Prepare and review façade shop drawings, GA drawings, elevations, sections, and installation details.
• Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, façade consultants, and contractors to resolve queries.
• Ensure façade drawings comply with specifications, client requirements, and industry standards.
• Review design revisions, RFIs, and engineering comments, updating documentation accordingly.
• Participate in design coordination meetings and provide technical support throughout the project lifecycle.
• Prepare material schedules, panel schedules, and quantity information for procurement and planning.
• Review fabrication and installation drawings before submission for accuracy and constructability.
• Mentor and guide junior designers on drafting standards and drawings quality.
• Coordinate with internal project teams to ensure timely deliverables with quality and schedules.

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Facade Designer to join our Facade team. As a Facade Designer , you will be responsible for creating and maintaining Curtain Walls, Cladding, GRC, or any External Facade Systems using Auto cad. You will work closely with the Facade Engineering team and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely delivery of projects.

Responsibilities

Review architectural, structural, and façade drawings to understand project requirements and identify potential design issues.

Prepare and review façade shop drawings, GA drawings, elevations, sections, and installation details.

Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, façade consultants, and contractors to resolve design and technical queries.

Ensure façade drawings comply with project specifications, client requirements, and applicable industry standards.

Review design revisions, RFIs, and engineering comments, ensuring all changes are incorporated accurately into project documentation.

Participate in design coordination meetings and provide technical support throughout the project lifecycle.

Prepare material schedules, panel schedules, and quantity information to support procurement and project planning.

Review fabrication and installation drawings before submission to ensure accuracy, completeness, and constructability.

Mentor and guide junior designers by reviewing their drawings, providing technical feedback, and ensuring compliance with company drafting standards.

• Coordinate with internal project teams to ensure timely submission of deliverables while maintaining quality, project schedules, and client expectations.

Skills Required

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil, Architecture or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in creating detail Facade drawing using AutoCAD
• Strong knowledge of Facade concepts, practices, and software, including AutoCAD if Revit plus point
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with project stakeholders.
