Job summary

TTP Technologies Pvt. Ltd. in India seeks an experienced Fabrication Fitter to join our Production/Fabrication team.

You will be responsible for fabrication, fit-up, assembly, pipeline assembly, and dimensional accuracy of transformer tanks and components per approved drawings and quality requirements. The role requires 5–10 years of transformer fabrication/heavy fabrication experience, with ITI Fitter qualification being preferred.

Qualifications

• Must read and understand fabrication drawings to meet tolerances.
• Experience with tank fabrication, stiffeners, headers, flanges and covers.
• Skilled in pipe cutting, bending, fit-up and flange alignment.
• Ability to verify dimensions like PCD/OD/ID and center-to-center spacing.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand fabrication and assembly drawings.
• Carry out fit-up and assembly of transformer tanks, stiffeners, covers, headers, flanges, and other components.
• Perform transformer pipeline assembly and installation as per approved drawings.
• Carry out pipe cutting, bending, fit-up, alignment, and flange assembly as required.
• Perform pipeline bending using suitable tools and machines, ensuring the required radius, angle, and dimensions as per drawings.
• Ensure proper pipe routing, orientation, slope, gap, and alignment as per drawings.
• Perform marking, cutting, grinding, drilling, and alignment activities.
• Ensure proper fit-up, gap, alignment, Square-ness, and dimensional accuracy before welding.
• Check PCD, OD, ID, center-to-center dimensions, bushing dimensions, Bend angles, bend radius, and other critical dimensions.
• Coordinate with welders during welding activities and ensure proper fit-up before welding.
• Identify fabrication or dimensional deviations and report them to the supervisor.
• Follow production schedules, quality requirements, safety procedures, and 5S.

Required Skills:

• Good knowledge of Transformer tank heavy fabrication
• Pipeline bending and Pipeline assembly
• Ability to read and understand engineering and fabrication drawings
• Knowledge of pipe cutting, bending, fit-up, flange alignment, and welding fit-up
• Ability to use measuring instruments and fabrication tools.
• Good teamwork and coordination with welders and production supervisors.

Qualification:

• ITI Fitter or equivalent technical qualification.
• Preferred : Experience in heavy fabrication, transformer manufacturing, pipeline assembly, pipe bending

• Relevant experience: Equivalent heavy fabrication with Pipeline bending and Pipeline assembly
