Job summary

Pearl Global in Tamil Nadu seeks a Fabric Planning Specialist to oversee fabric planning, procurement coordination, inspection, inventory, and timely availability to production in line with end-to-end apparel manufacturing. You will manage receipt and allocation per production needs and ensure adherence to timelines.

Responsibilities include ensuring fabric quality, shade, GSM, shrinkage, width against buyer specs, tracking from receipt to cutting, and leading the fabric team to improve

Qualifications

• Experience in fabric planning and procurement coordination.
• Ability to ensure fabric quality, shade, GSM, and specs.
• Proficiency in inventory management and stock reconciliation.
• Leadership of a fabric team and KPI driving.
• Exposure to end-to-end apparel manufacturing and supply-chain.

Responsibilities

• Focus on fabric planning, sourcing coordination, inspection, inventory, quality and timely availability to production.
• Manage fabric planning, procurement coordination, receipt and allocation per production requirements and timelines.
• Ensure fabric inspection, quality, shade, GSM, shrinkage, width and buyer specs are met before production.
• Monitor fabric inventory, stock reconciliation and consumption; minimize wastage.
• Coordinate with Merchandising, Sourcing, Production, Quality, Stores and Planning teams.
• Manage fabric testing, shade/lot segregation, approvals and issue resolution with suppliers and internal teams.
• Track fabric movement from receipt to cutting with proper documentation and traceability.
• Lead the fabric team, monitor utilization, wastage and efficiency KPIs; drive improvements.

Role & responsibilities

1. The role should focus on fabric planning, sourcing coordination, inspection, inventory, quality and timely availability to production, in line with Pearl Globals end-to-end apparel manufacturing and supply-chain model.

2. Manage fabric planning, procurement coordination, receipt and allocation as per production requirements and T&A timelines.

3. Ensure fabric inspection, quality, shade, GSM, shrinkage, width and other buyer-specific specifications are met before production.

4. Monitor fabric inventory, stock reconciliation and consumption, minimizing excess stock, shortages and fabric wastage.

5. Coordinate with Merchandising, Sourcing, Production, Quality, Stores and Planning teams for timely fabric availability.

6. Manage fabric testing, shade/lot segregation, approvals and resolution of quality-related issues with suppliers and internal teams.

7. Track fabric movement from receipt to cutting, ensuring proper documentation, traceability and inventory control.

8. Lead the fabric team, monitor fabric utilization, wastage and efficiency KPIs, and drive continuous improvement.
