Job summary

Naukai E-hire is seeking a Textile Sourcing Specialist to develop and source fabrics for diverse collections in India. You will build supplier networks, assess fabric quality, and coordinate samples, lab dips, and bulk orders.

You will evaluate trends, negotiate terms, and support sales and e-commerce with updated fabric ranges. Willingness to travel to textile markets is required; CAD qualification is a plus.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of fabrics and textiles is mandatory.
• Understanding of woven, knitted, denim, jacquard, cotton, linen, viscose, modal, polyester, silk, RFD, greige fabrics.
• CAD qualification is required.
• Knowledge of fabric manufacturing, dyeing, printing, finishing and processing is an advantage.
• Understanding of fabric quality parameters and testing.
• Strong supplier/vendor network preferred.
• Good negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to identify good-quality fabrics and commercially viable products.
• Willingness to travel to textile markets and supplier locations.
• Graduate/Diploma in Textile, Fashion, Apparel or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Source and develop new and trending fabrics based on market demand and customer requirements.
• Identify and build relationships with fabric manufacturers, mills, suppliers and vendors across textile hubs.
• Have strong knowledge of different fabric types, compositions, constructions, finishes, GSM, width, dyeing, printing, and processing.
• Research market trends, new textile developments, colours, textures, and fabric innovations.
• Source and evaluate fabrics based on quality, price, availability, MOQ, lead time, and commercial viability.
• Coordinate with suppliers for samples, swatches, lab dips, colour matching, quality approvals, and bulk requirements.
• Negotiate pricing and commercial terms with suppliers.
• Maintain a database of suppliers, fabrics, prices, specifications, and samples.
• Work closely with the sales and e-commerce teams to identify gaps in the existing product range and develop new collections.
• Visit textile markets, exhibitions, mills, and manufacturing units when required.
• Monitor competitor products and market offerings to identify new sourcing opportunities.
• Ensure consistency in fabric quality and specifications before bulk procurement.
