Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services in India is seeking a seasoned F5 Network Engineer to configure, implement, and manage F5 load balancers across global infrastructure. The role emphasizes in-depth knowledge of iRules, TCP/IP, routing protocols, and Cisco/Nexus ecosystems.

You will support 24x7 operations, perform SSL renewals, OS upgrades, and lead incident response with strong analytical skills. Candidates should be able to collaborate with dispersed teams and communicate effectively in English,

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience configuring and managing F5 load balancers (LTM/GTM/APM).
• Strong TCP/IP knowledge with routing and firewall concepts.
• Experience with Cisco Nexus/ASR/ISR switches and DC routing infrastructure.
• SSL certificate renewals and OS upgrades are routine tasks.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex network issues across multi-site environments.

Job description

Key Responsibilities*

• Configure, Implement, and manage Big IP F5 load balancer


• Good Knowledge in iRules and policies as per business requirement


• Utilize network monitoring tools to ensure rapid incident response.


• Good Knowledge in the F5 Load Balancing platforms, must have integration/configuration/administration experience, and possess a solid Network background including an understanding of switch, network routing, and firewall concepts.


• The F5 Engineer must possess very strong troubleshooting skills as well as a strong TCP and HTTP /HTTPS understanding as it pertains to packet inspection and TCP flow in the Network and Application flows.


• Experience working on the F5 LTM, GTM & APM as well.


• Good Knowledge in performing the SSL certificate renewals for the URLs/Vip’s


• Good understanding in upgrading the OS version


• Good knowledge in virtual F5 load balancer platform(EsXi)


• Ongoing maintenance and support of solution components (e.g. patching, upgrades, capacity reviews, Licensing)


• Configuration and troubleshooting knowledge on Routing,


• Configuration and troubleshooting experience in Cisco network devices (Routers, Nexus switches & Core Layer 3 catalyst switches)


• Good Knowledge & troubleshooting experience in Cisco ASR & ISR routers


• Good Knowledge & troubleshooting experience in Cisco Nexus 9k switches.


• Good Knowledge in DC Routing & Switching infrastructure


• Configuration & troubleshooting knowledge in BGP routing protocol (ASN, PBR, Route-reflectors, community, Tags & Attributes)


• Configuration & troubleshooting knowledge in EIGRP routing protocol (load balancing, topology & Metrics)
