Job summary

Prodapt Solutions Private Limited in Chennai is seeking a Senior IP Services Engineer to lead deployment, migration, and optimization of ADC, DNS/DHCP/IPAM, and web proxy solutions for large enterprise environments.

You will implement and support F5 BIG-IP, Infoblox DDI, and NGINX, develop automation scripts, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high availability and performance across data centers.

Qualifications

Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior IP Services Engineer with extensive experience in enterprise IP services and application delivery technologies. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of hands-on experience implementing and supporting F5 BIG-IP, Infoblox DDI, NGINX, and related IP service technologies within large-scale enterprise and data centre environments.

The role will focus on the deployment, migration, implementation, and optimisation of application delivery controllers (ADC), DNS/DHCP/IPAM (DDI), and web proxy solutions. Candidates should also possess scripting capabilities to support automation and operational efficiency, along with a strong understanding of Routing & Switching fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and implement enterprise IP Services solutions across customer environments.
• Lead F5 BIG-IP migration projects, including migration from hardware appliances to Virtual Editions (VE/VM).
• Install, configure, and maintain NGINX web servers, reverse proxies, and load balancing solutions.
• Deploy and manage Infoblox DDI solutions, including DNS, DHCP, and IP Address Management (IPAM).
• Configure and optimise Layer 4-7 application delivery and load balancing services.
• Perform implementation, migration, and upgrade activities for enterprise IP Services infrastructure.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts to streamline deployment and operational tasks.
• Troubleshoot complex application delivery, DNS, DHCP, IPAM, and load balancing issues.
• Collaborate with Network, Security, Infrastructure, Cloud, and Application teams during project delivery.
• Perform implementation validation, testing, cutovers, and post-deployment support.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, implementation guides, and operational procedures.
• Participate in change management processes and ensure all implementation activities comply with customer standards.
• Provide technical expertise and support for critical incidents and infrastructure upgrades.

Mandatory Skills & Experience

• Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience in enterprise IP Services technologies.
• Strong implementation and deployment experience with:
  • F5 BIG-IP (LTM, GTM/DNS)
  • F5 Virtual Edition (VE) / Migration to Virtual Machine
  • NGINX
  • Infoblox DDI (DNS, DHCP, IPAM)
• Proven experience migrating F5 appliances from physical to virtual environments.
• Strong experience configuring:
  • Load Balancing
  • SSL Offloading
  • Virtual Servers
  • Pools
  • Health Monitors
  • iRules (preferred)
• Experience deploying and administering NGINX as:
  • Reverse Proxy
  • Load Balancer
  • Web Server
  • API Gateway
• Strong knowledge of Infoblox DDI architecture and implementation.
• Hands-on scripting/programming experience using one or more of:
  • Python
  • Bash
  • Shell Scripting
  • PowerShell
• Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
• Good understanding of Routing & Switching fundamentals to support IP Services deployment.
• Experience working within enterprise and data centre environments.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes and change management.

Good to Have

• Experience with open-source technologies and automation frameworks.
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Ansible or Terraform.
• Experience with Linux system administration.
• Exposure to Kubernetes, Docker, or containerised application environments.
• Experience with cloud-based load balancing and DNS services (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Knowledge of REST APIs and API integrations.
