Job Description - Club Server

Reporting To: Front of House / Member Experience Manager

Role Overview

We are looking for a well-groomed, courteous, and service-oriented Club Server to deliver refined, personalized food and beverage service to members and their guests at a premium private members club.

The ideal candidate should have experience in luxury hospitality, premium restaurants, wellness clubs, or other high-end service environments. The role requires a proactive approach to member service, attention to detail, knowledge of food and beverage service standards, and the ability to create a warm, seamless, and welcoming dining experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome members and guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their visit.

• Take food and beverage orders accurately and communicate them clearly to the kitchen and bar teams.

• Serve food and beverages professionally, following established service standards and etiquette.

• Maintain the cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation of dining areas, lounges, service stations, and associated spaces.

• Ensure tables are properly set, maintained, and cleared promptly, following the club s presentation standards.

• Familiarise yourself with the menu, ingredients, daily specials, beverages, and dietary options to assist members with recommendations.

• Anticipate members needs and respond promptly to requests while maintaining a discreet and unobtrusive service approach.

• Accommodate special requests, dietary preferences, and allergies while coordinating with the kitchen team.

• Ensure service areas are adequately stocked with crockery, cutlery, glassware, napkins, and other required supplies.

• Coordinate with the kitchen, bar, housekeeping, and Front of House teams to ensure smooth and efficient service.

• Handle member feedback, complaints, and service concerns courteously, escalating them to the supervisor when required.

• Support food and beverage service during private gatherings, club events, special occasions, and member activities.

• Follow food safety, hygiene, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.

• Maintain high standards of personal grooming, professional conduct, and uniform presentation.

• Respect member privacy and maintain confidentiality regarding members, guests, and club activities.

• Assist with opening and closing duties, including mise-en-place, service station preparation, and end-of-shift checks.

• Contribute to a consistent, high-quality member experience through teamwork, responsiveness, and attention to detail.

Candidate Profile

• 2-6 years of relevant experience in five-star hotels, premium standalone restaurants, luxury resorts, private members clubs, or high-end hospitality establishments.

• Candidates from premium wellness clubs, spa hospitality, and luxury lifestyle environments with relevant food and beverage service exposure may also be considered.

• Experience with reputed hospitality brands such as Taj Hotels, The Leela, ITC Hotels, Oberoi, and other luxury establishments will be preferred.

• Prior experience in fine dining, all-day dining, lounge service, or premium restaurant operations is desirable.

• Good knowledge of food and beverage service etiquette, table setting, order taking, and service procedures.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a courteous and member-focused approach.

• Excellent personal grooming, hygiene, and professional presentation.

• Ability to understand member preferences and deliver attentive, personalized service.

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, premium hospitality environment.

• Ability to work flexible shifts, weekends, and during special club events as required.

• A team-oriented attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn and uphold the club s service standards.
