Job summary

EY is seeking an Associate in the Strategic Pricing & Insights team to support financial and commercial activities for large opportunities. You will assist in pricing, cost-to-serve estimates, and negotiation strategies, leveraging EY pricing tools and market benchmarks.

You will contribute to business cases, pricing models, and client-facing proposals, while building financial models and providing insights to improve competitive positioning in a dynamic, global firm.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, statistics, engineering or related field.
• 1–3 years of pricing, financial analysis or commercial support experience.
• Strong Excel skills with budgeting and financial modeling experience.
• Exposure to pricing tools or professional services pricing is a plus.

EY GDS – Commercial Excellence – Associate

As an Associate in the Strategic Pricing & Insights team under Commercial Excellence, you will contribute to financial and commercial activities for EY’s large and strategic opportunities. You will also assist in drawing together competitive intelligence (price, solution, and commercial), client business and solution requirements, internal EY cost-to-serve estimates, commercial model options, pricing methodologies, and negotiation strategies.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Assist pricing and commercial activities: Prepare business cases and pricing models for pursuits, ensuring accuracy and alignment with EY standards. Support development of charging models and client-facing proposals for complex opportunities.
• Perform financial modeling and cost analysis: Build and maintain Excel-based financial models, validate solution estimates, and forecast deal economics using EY pricing tools.
• Support competitive intelligence integration: Collect and synthesize price, solution, and commercial benchmarks to inform positioning and differentiation.
• Break down pricing components: Contribute to price testing against market benchmarks and solution benchmarking for differentiation; support client evaluation processes incorporating power maps and willingness-to-pay testing.
• Assist commercial model design: Support evaluation of input-, output-, and outcome-based models, including risk-sharing constructs.
• Prepare internal summaries and pricing analysis: Draft financial and commercial summaries for internal reviews and client discussions; assist pursuit teams during negotiations.
• Conduct research and benchmarking: Gather market intelligence, competitor pricing insights, and economic indicators to refine price positioning.
• Maintain pricing tools and templates: Ensure accuracy and consistency of pricing assets and assist in continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications for the role:

• Bachelors degree in relevant fields like finance, accounting, statistics, engineering, or related field.
• Exposure to functions like pricing and commercials, strategy consulting, FP&A, SaaS/cloud commercialization is a plus.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience in pricing, financial analysis, or commercial support roles.
• Strong Excel skills; familiarity with financial modeling and budgeting.
• Exposure to professional services or pricing tools is an advantage.
• English language fluency (oral and written).
