BEST-FIT Recruitment Riders in Saykha, Bharuch, seeks a ZLD Supervisor/Officer/Executive (ETP + RO + MBBR) in the EHS department to operate, monitor and maintain Zero Liquid Discharge systems, ensuring environmental compliance and plant safety.

The candidate should have 2–6 years of hands-on experience with ETP, RO, MBBR, MEE and ATFD in chemical/pharma manufacturing, with strong documentation and leadership abilities.

Qualifications

• Diploma/BE/BTech/BSc/MSc in chemical/environmental eng with 2–6 years in ZLD systems.
• Hands-on experience in ETP, RO, MBBR, MEE, and ATFD operations.
• Knowledge of environmental compliance norms.
• Good documentation and reporting skills.
• Basic PLC/SCADA knowledge preferred.

Job Purpose

The ZLD Supervisor / Officer / Executive will be responsible for the operation, monitoring, and maintenance of the Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) system including ETP (Effluent Treatment Plant), RO (Reverse Osmosis), and MBBR (Moving Bed Biofilm Reactor) to ensure compliance with statutory environmental norms and company standards. The role involves ensuring efficient treatment, recycling, and safe disposal of industrial effluents as per Pollution Control Board guidelines.

Job Profile

A. Plant Operations

• Supervise day-to-day operation of ETP, RO, MEE, ATFD, and MBBR systems.
• Ensure continuous and smooth functioning of ZLD system.
• Monitor process parameters such as pH, COD, BOD, TDS, MLSS, flow rate, pressure, etc.
• Maintain logbooks and daily operational records.
• Ensure treated water quality meets discharge/reuse norms.

B. Compliance & Documentation

• Ensure compliance with GPCB/CPCB environmental regulations.
• Maintain statutory records and support during audits and inspections.
• Coordinate for third-party sampling and laboratory analysis.
• Assist in preparation of environmental reports and returns.

C. Maintenance & Troubleshooting

• Identify operational issues and coordinate with maintenance team.
• Ensure preventive maintenance of pumps, blowers, agitators, diffusers, membranes, etc.
• Monitor RO membrane performance and chemical dosing systems.

D. Manpower & Safety

• Supervise operators and contract workers in ZLD section.
• Ensure adherence to safety practices and use of PPE.
• Conduct toolbox talks and safety training for operators.

E. Optimization & Cost Control

• Optimize chemical dosing and energy consumption.
• Suggest improvements for process efficiency and water recovery.
• Monitor sludge handling and disposal process.

Desired Profile

• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech / B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Chemical / Environmental Engineering with 2 to 6 years of experience in handling ZLD systems in Chemical / Pharma / Agrochemical manufacturing industry.
• Certification in ETP / ZLD operation will be an added advantage.
• Hands-on experience in ETP, RO, MBBR, MEE, and ATFD operations.
• Knowledge of biological & physico-chemical treatment processes.
• Understanding of environmental compliance norms.
• Basic knowledge of PLC/SCADA systems (preferred).
• Good documentation and reporting skills.
• Problem-solving ability.
