We are seeking an experienced environmental management professional to lead environmental management, statutory compliance, water & wastewater treatment, waste management, environmental monitoring, and sustainability initiatives at the plant.
The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance, optimizing environmental processes, driving resource efficiency, and maintaining strong environmental management systems across the plant.
Lead overall environmental compliance and ensure adherence to applicable statutory requirements of MoEF&CC, CPCB, UKPCB, CGWA and other regulatory authorities.
Ensure timely compliance and submissions related to NOC, CTO, EC and other statutory approvals.
Coordinate with regulatory authorities and ensure timely closure of observations, notices, and compliance requirements.
Ensure implementation of all conditions stipulated by regulatory bodies.
Provide leadership for ETP/ZLD operations, process control, performance monitoring, and optimization.
Monitor water consumption, wastewater generation, treatment efficiency, and chemical consumption.
Drive initiatives for water conservation, recycling, reuse, and reduction in wastewater generation.
Analyze operational data and identify opportunities for improving treatment performance and cost efficiency.
Oversee Online Effluent/Emission Monitoring Systems, AAQMS, and other environmental monitoring systems.
Ensure daily review and interpretation of monitoring data and timely corrective action for deviations or alerts.
Ensure reliability, calibration, documentation, and compliance of monitoring equipment.
Lead management of hazardous and non-hazardous waste including ETP/ZLD waste, used oil, fly ash, lime mud, plastic, e-waste, and battery waste.
Ensure proper storage, documentation, disposal, and statutory compliance.
Drive compliance related to Plastic EPR, E-Waste and Battery Waste Management.
Lead NABL laboratory accreditation activities including internal audits, MRM, Z-score, training, quality control, and documentation.
Ensure effective implementation and continual improvement of applicable ISO management systems.
Coordinate internal/external audits and ensure timely closure of non-conformities and observations.
Analyze environmental and operational data to identify trends, deviations, and improvement opportunities.
Drive Kaizen, 5S, process optimization, chemical consumption reduction, and resource efficiency initiatives.
Develop and maintain appropriate MIS and management reports for environmental performance.
Lead, develop, and motivate the Environment team to achieve operational and compliance objectives.
Ensure optimum manpower utilization and improve productivity through effective manpower planning.
Identify training needs and develop multiskilling and competency enhancement programs.
Ensure accurate and timely maintenance of environmental records, statutory documents, monitoring data, and compliance reports.
Provide regular environmental performance updates and actionable insights to senior management.
Ensure effective use of SAP/MIS for relevant operational and documentation activities.
Bachelors or Masters degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering, or a relevant discipline.
Additional certifications or professional qualifications in Environmental Management, EHS, NABL, or ISO systems will be an added advantage.
1215 years of relevant experience in Environmental Management, preferably in a manufacturing/process industry.
Relevant experience in environmental management, ETP/ZLD operations, statutory compliance, and environmental monitoring, preferably in a manufacturing/process industry.
Strong knowledge of CPCB/State PCB compliance, waste management, NABL, ISO, EPR, and environmental monitoring systems.
Strong leadership, analytical, problem-solving, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
