Job summary

The Peninsular and Oriental Steam Navigation Company is seeking an Executive for Terminal Operations to drive efficient yard, rail and warehouse activities at DP World Rail Logistics Private Limited in Meerut, UP.

The role requires a graduate with at least five years of experience and strong IT skills to manage MIS, reporting, and SOP adherence while ensuring timely train operations and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Manage smooth yard, rail and warehouse operations (EXIM/Domestic).
• Monitor MIS and productivity of operations.
• Ensure timely gate in/out as per SLAs.
• Oversee loading/unloading of trains per TAT.
• Follow SOPs for Yard, Rail & Gate operations.
• Prepare reports and present to stakeholders.
• Prevent revenue leakages.
• Plan optimal utilization of equipment and assets.
• Improve operational efficiency with timely service.
• Aim for zero customer complaints.
• Implement cost-saving initiatives.
• Maintain relationships with internal staff, vendors, customers and authorities.
• Manage Inward, Put-away, Picking, Outbound and Inventory in warehouse.
• Coordinate surveyor teams and rosters.
• Maintain customer-level SLAs.
• Audit stock and shrinkage limits per business guidelines.
• Maintain transportation SLAs.
• Uphold HSE standards and report submission.
• Enforce safety and security norms on the ground.

Job location - DP World Rail Logistics Private Limited, ICD Modinagar, Kharkhoda Road, Mohiuddinpur, MEERUT, UP – 250205

6-day work week (Monday to Saturday), Only 2nd Saturday is an off.

Primary objectives

• 1.To achieve faster turnaround of rake & containers
• 2.Maintain SLAs of software for Rail and Yard
• 3.Ensuring proper documentation related to s/line, customs, and Railways.
• 4.To ensure compliance related to EXIM, customs & railways.
• 5.Ensuring Proper Customer Correspondence and relationship
• 6. Ensuring Operational KPIs are achieved.

Key responsibilities

• 1.Responsible for smooth operations in yard, rail & warehouse (EXIM/Domestic).
• 2.MIS knowledge and Productivity Monitoring of operations.
• 3.Ensure timely gate in and gate out operations as per SLAs.
• 4.Ensure timely loading/unloading of Train as per TAT.
• 5.To follow strictly the SOPs of Yard, Rail & Gate operation
• 6.Ensure to prepare various reports & showing with concerned in time.
• 7.Ensure there should not be any revenue leakages.
• 8.Plan to utilize equipment optimally and its proper management.
• 9.Ensure to bring efficiency in operations by providing best timely service to customers.
• 10.To have zero customer complaints.
• 11.Cost saving initiatives.
• 12.To maintain relationships with internal employees as well as with external vendors/ Customers/ Govt. authorities.
• 13.Responsible for all warehouse functions of Inward, Put-away, Picking, Outbound and Inventory.
• 14.Managing surveyor teams and with proper roasters and deployment of work.
• 15.Maintaining Customer Level Operations SLA
• 16.Proper Audit/stock take, and Shrinkage under Limits as provided by Business Team
• 17.Maintaining Customer Level Transpiration SLA.
• 18.Maintaining HSE Standard and submission of reports
• 19.To follow safety and security norms of the company strictly and its implementation on the ground.

Qualifications & competencies

• 1.Good Communication skills in English language, both oral and written.
• 2.Qualification – Graduate / Experience - Minimum -5 years.
• 3.To have very good knowledge of word, excel & PPT as well as Software.
