Job summary

DP World Hyderabad is seeking an Executive Terminal Operations to oversee unloading and loading activities at DP World Multimodal Logistics Hyderabad Pvt Ltd, No. 04 - 16, Thimmapur, Kothur Mandal, Ranga Reddy.

You will enforce safety SOPs, coordinate with contractors and customers, monitor shift productivity, and ensure optimal use of equipment and resources to provide timely service.

Responsibilities

• Check safety parameters before unloading: wooden chokes, unlashing, lifting gears, and equipment per cargo weight.
• Survey the rake after placement and update documentation for any mismatch or damage with photos.
• Follow the unloading SOP for cargo.
• If unsafe conditions arise, use the SWA process.
• Report any visual damage or quantity/quality mismatch with photos to the team lead and manager.
• Truck loading capacity must meet or exceed the loading plan.
• Pre-saddling of dunnages per center of gravity.
• Trailer bed clean and undamaged.
• Deploy equipment appropriate to the cargo.
• Ensure loading/unloading equipment complies with all NO GO items.
• Complete loading and move the truck to the nearest lashing point.
• Report hazards and other interactions.
• Ensure contractor work is per SOP.
• Comply with Health, Safety and Environment standards as per DP World.
• Work as a team to attain objectives.
• Attain and maintain shift productivity.
• Optimize utilization of equipment and resources.
• Ensure safety procedures are followed in all operations.
• Coordinate with contractors and customers for timely delivery.
• Motivate and guide shift employees to attain objectives.
• Coordinate with terminal duty superintendent for transportation.
• Use SWA for any unsafe act and promote DP World safety culture; discuss take-time take-charge in TBTs.
• Monitor staff hours and daily TBTs; clarify and supervise SOP-compliant work.

Key Responsibilities

Unloading

• Before starting the unloading the operations check the safety parameters i.e wooden chokes, do the unlashing properly, lifting gears are ok, and appropriate equipment as per the cargo weight, etc.


• Once Rake is placed proper survey of rake and Update to documentation team if any mismatch, damage along with Photos.


• Follow the unloading SOP of cargo


• Any unsafe conditions, use the SWA process


• Any visual damages or quantity/quality mismatch should be immediately reported with photographic evidence to the team lead and reporting manager respectively

Loading

• Truck loading capacity is not less than the loading plan


• Pre saddling of Dunnages as per centre of gravity


• Trailer bed clean and without any damages

Deploy appropriate equipment as per the cargo

Make sure the loading unloading equipment complied all NO GO items

Complete the loading and then move the truck to the nearest lashing point

Report Hazard and other interactions

Ensure work done by contractor as per SOP.

To comply with all the standards related to Health, Safety and Environment system as per DP World standards

Work as a team for attainment of common objectives.

Attain and maintain shift productivity

Optimal utilization of equipment and resources.

Ensure safety procedures are followed in all operations.

Co-ordinate with contractors and customers to ensure delivery of timely service.

Motivate and guide shift employees for attaining set objectives.

Co-ordinate with terminal duty superintendent for transportation

Use SWA when see any unsafe act, encourage downline staff to follow the same to build DPW standard safety culture. Discuss about take time take charge in TBTs.
