DP World Rail Logistics Private Limited, Rewari, seeks a senior leader to oversee Terminal Operations for Rail and Inland Terminals. The role reports to BU head, with a 6-day work week and Saturday off on the 2nd week of off schedule.

Major focus on safe, efficient terminal performance and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities include budgeting, stakeholder engagement, process improvements, and ensuring SOP/compliance adherence across terminal activities.

Competenze

• Good communication skills in English, both oral and written.
• MBA degree required.
• 20+ years of combined experience in ICD/CFS/Forwarding/Shipping line CHA.
• Excellent command of MS Excel spreadsheets.

Job Description

Position - DGM Terminal Operations - Rail & Inland Terminals
Job Location - DP World Rail Logistics Private Limited, Rewari Narnaul Road, Gobindpuri, Rewari.
Position reports to - BU head
6-day work week, only 2nd Saturday is an off.

Key responsibilities

1. 1.To lead progressive and innovative terminal operations, which meet all regulatory, and procedural requirements.


2. 2.To assist in developing and building relationships with all the required stake holders, i.e., shipping Lines, handling agents, Customs, Customs House Agents, associated business partners, etc. in providing a seamless service to customers which maximizes all revenue opportunities


3. 3.To manage operational budgets in line with forecasts and always ensure financial process integrity.


4. 4.To lead, deliver and further develop the Safety Management Systems in the Terminal and 3rd parties, taking robust corrective action if needed.


5. 5.To maintain good relationships with all the stake holders, customers, Customs and associated service providers.


6. 6.To monitor performance, seek continual improvements and take corrective action where needed, managing change and improvement initiatives as appropriate.


7. 7.To work alongside concerned operational departments to promote a combined customer focused service.


8. 8.Analyse port user’s requirements and addressing them with the top management if required.


9. 9.Develop plans to ensure terminals follow established standards.


10. 10.Develop proposals for new service innovation ideas.


11. 11.Enforce a safe and secure culture.


12. 12.Enforce organisational and compliance standards.


13. 13.Establish Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for internal staff.


14. 14.Manage contractors carrying out Terminal operations.


15. 15.Plan timely and accurate delivery of services to meet customer requirements.


16. 16.Promote new ideas to enhance customer service operations.


17. 17.Recommend action plans to resolve and prevent safety or security breaches.

19. 19.Review and develop compliance standards.


20. 20.Review operational processes to identify areas for enhancements.


21. 21.Review the feasibility of implementing new service offerings for the Terminal.

24. 24.Creating healthy, team building and motivational environment at the terminal.


25. 25.Liasoning with Customs officials for smooth clearances of the shipments for timely deliveries to the customers.


26. 26.Fast and safe handling of rakes, for optimum use of rail lines inside the terminal.


27. 27.Liasoning with Railway Authorities releasing the rakes stabled in route.


28. 28.Fast evacuation of the containers from the Gateway port destined for Our terminal to ensure the delivery of the cargo to the customers as per their expectation and committed time frame.


29. 29.Yard Planning/Optimum use of yard face with Maximum Output.


30. 30.Ensure that the terminal activities are commenced as per the SOP/Customs Guidelines.


31. 31.Planning and Execution.


32. 32.Continuous effort in reducing the Operational Cost.


33. 33.Staff Motivation.


34. 34.Vendors satisfaction by ensuring that the payment disbursements are done as per the commitments and on agreed terms.


35. 35.Staff Briefing on regular interval idea is to address the issues of the which are faced in day to day operational and providing them the best solutions for smooth delivery of services to customers.


36. 36.To Carry operations at the terminal keeping in mind the commercial aspects.


37. 37.MIS Reports


38. 38.To ensure that all the queries of the customers are addressed and timely responded.


39. 39.Ensuring timely clearance of all the EGM’s so that the Duty drawback is released to customer timely.


40. 40.To ensure that the maintenance of equipment’s is done as scheduled which ensures seamless operations without constraints.


41. 41.to update Management about any infrastructural requirements if any,


42. 42.Ensure smooth PFT Operations.


43. 43.Regular meetings with customers to know the expectation level and fulfilling the same in consultation with the Unit Head.


44. 44.Conducting Trade meets for terminal services feedback.


45. 45.To ensure that all the activities are recorded and are submitted to fiancé for billing ensuring no revenue leakage.


46. 46. To Ensure that all the Terminal Operations runs through various software and will help the team for quick implementation.

Qualification & competencies

• Good Communication skills in English language, both oral and written.
