Job summary

KSB US in Maharashtra, India is seeking an experienced Warehouse & Stores professional to manage goods inward verification, put-away, GRN documentation and inventory control. The role focuses on SAP-MM based processes, line feeding support and audits to ensure 100% compliance.

Responsibilities include coordinating with area owners, maintaining perpetual inventory, and reducing cycle time in material handling. A mechanical engineering background plus 5–10 years in a similar role is preferred.

Qualifications

• Formal education in mechanical engineering (DME or BE Mechanical) is required.
• 5–10 years of experience in engineering or related industry preferred.
• Strong stores/inventory management experience and SAP-MM knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for Goods Inward material verification & Storage in predefined locations.
• Verify material against invoice and packaging; address shortages, damage, rust issues and improve packaging.
• Ensure outsourced material verification and timely closure of production orders.
• Drive digitalization in Goods Inward & storage area; WM, bar code GRN, visualization projects.
• Support line feeding activities and monitor critical/spillage material.
• Coordinate with area owners and obtain acknowledgment for material handover.
• Conduct perpetual inventory processes.
• Manage Central Warehouse material issues, storage and system transfers to spares as needed.
• Lead audits with a proactive approach to ensure compliance and zero NCs.
• Audit bin locations to reduce cycle time for picking and placement.
• Ensure timely clearance of foundry rejects to avoid buildup.
• Address non-moving items as suggested by MRP for timely clearance.

Job description

1. 1. Responsible for Goods Inward material verification & Storage in predefined locations.
2. 2. Ensure proper verification of material against invoice and packaging adherence. Resolve issues related material shortage, damage, rust and improvements in material packaging.
3. 3. Ensure proper verification of outsourced materials and timely closure of their respective production orders.
4. 4. Digitalization projects in Goods Inward & material storage area. Warehouse management (WM), Bar code GRN and visualisation projects
5. 5. Support for Line feeding activities, critical/ spillage material monitoring.
6. 6. Co-ordination with respective area owners and handover their material & get acknowledgment for the same
7. 7. Perpetual inventory process to be conducted
8. 8. CWH (Central Weare house) material issued, storage and transfer in system to spares as per requirement.
9. 9. Managing all types of audits with a proactive approach to ensure 100% compliance and zero non-conformities (NCs).
10. 10. Monitor and audit bin location for reduction of cycle time for material picking and placement at particular loc.
11. 11. Timely clearance of KSB Foundry and other rejection to avoid accumulation.
12. 12. Working on Non-Moving items suggested by MRP team for timely clearance.
