To ensure the smooth flow of production within the department by maintaining high-quality standards and achieving On-Time In-Full (OTIF) delivery. The role focuses on continuous improvement, adherence to customer requirements, and achieving first-time acceptance in jewelry production processes.
Adherence to Customer Requirements:
Understand and implement customer quality standards in all production processes and finished products.
Customer Satisfaction:
Continuously improve product quality, respond promptly to internal customer queries and issues, and take corrective actions as needed.
Training & Development:
Conduct training sessions for associates and supervisors on updated quality standards and inspection techniques.
Continual Improvement (Kaizen):
Participate and take ownership in Kaizen and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance process efficiency and product quality.
First Time Acceptance (FTA) & Productivity:
Meet or exceed FTA and productivity targets by ensuring quality at every production stage.
Health & Safety:
Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to safety standards and ensuring compliance with company policies.
Calibration of Measurement Tools:
Ensure all measuring and testing instruments are calibrated as per schedule and maintain calibration records.
Data Maintenance & Analysis:
Record production defects, perform root cause analysis, and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
Achievement of target FTA and productivity levels.
Reduction in defects and rework percentage.
Timely dispatch of quality-approved jewelry pieces.
Timely completion of quality training and calibration schedules.
Proactive identification and resolution of production issues.
Strong understanding of jewelry quality parameters across different markets and customer preferences.
In-depth knowledge of precious metal alloys, diamonds, and gemstones.
Ability to identify stage-wise defects and assess symmetry and flexibility of jewelry pieces.
Proficiency in reading design notes, documenting defects, and preparing job sheets.
Awareness of utility and functional aspects of different jewelry types.
Qualification:
Any qualification with a Diploma in Jewelry Designing or relevant experience in jewelry production/designing.
Technical Skills:
Knowledge of jewelry designing and shapes.
Proficiency in computer operations.
Understanding of jewelry design for domestic markets.
Hands-on experience with jewelry inspection equipment such as Microscope, Loupe, Opti-visor, and Jewelry Lamp.
