To ensure smooth execution of the mass finishing process (tumbling, polishing, buffing, and cleaning) for jewellery products, maintaining consistent quality, minimizing losses, and ensuring timely delivery of finished pieces.
Operate mass finishing machines (tumbling, vibro, magnetic polishers, ultrasonic cleaners).
Achieve 100% OTIF (On Time In Full) targets for finishing output.
Maintain efficiency of minimum 90%.
Ensure polishing and finishing meet the required quality standards.
Minimize gold loss and avoid damage to stones during finishing.
Perform in-process checks and ensure adherence to SOPs.
Ensure FTA ≥ 96% and meet daily productivity targets.
Handle approx. 250–300 pcs/day depending on jewellery type and process.
Follow all EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) guidelines.
Maintain safe working conditions in the finishing department.
To be competent, the individual must:
Complete finishing of assigned jewellery pieces (avg. 250–300 pcs/day depending on complexity).
Control gold loss within defined norms.
Ensure adherence to safety and process protocols.
Knowledge of different types of jewellery finishing techniques.
Understanding of equipment usage (tumbling, vibro, ultrasonic, magnetic polishers).
Ability to detect defects and elevate issues prompt.
Follow customer’s remarks/quality standards in SOP/SPO.
Record and document finishing results, losses, and exceptions.
Qualification
Any Qualification with experience in Jewellery Manufacturing/Polishing.
Diploma/Certification in Jewellery Designing/Manufacturing preferred.
Techno-functional Skills
Knowledge of mass finishing techniques (tumbling, magnetic polishing, vibro polishing).
Handling finishing equipment and consumables.
Strong quality awareness.
