Job summary

Orra Fine Jewellery in Mumbai's corporate office invites applicants for Executive - Quality Check (QC). The role focuses on inspecting jewellery pieces at various production stages to ensure designs, workmanship, and quality standards are met before progressing.

You will document inspection results, coordinate corrective actions with PPC, Production, and Inventory teams, and support audits and process improvements to minimize rework and delays.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in jewellery quality control or production roles.
• Strong knowledge of jewellery components, manufacturing stages, and quality standards.
• Ability to identify defects in polishing, setting, finishing, soldering, and assembly.
• Familiarity with gold, diamonds, gemstones, and measurement tools like vernier, loupe, tweezers.
• High attention to detail and strong observation skills.
• Good communication and coordination abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed quality checks on jewellery pieces received from vendors or internal departments (casting, setting, polishing, finishing).
• Verify workmanship, stone setting accuracy, weight, finishing, dimensions, and overall aesthetics before forwarding items.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards and design specifications shared by the PPC and design teams.
• Identify defects, discrepancies, or deviations and coordinate with respective teams/vendors for corrections.
• Maintain accurate QC records and update ERP/Excel trackers with inspection status.
• Tag, segregate, and route jewellery pieces to the appropriate next production stage.
• Collaborate with PPC, Production, and Inventory teams to ensure smooth workflow and minimize rejections.
• Support periodic quality audits and contribute to process improvements.

The role ensures adherence to design specifications, manufacturing standards, and quality benchmarks, thereby reducing rework, delays, and defects.
