Job summary

SAI Life Sciences seeks a process engineering professional to support PR&D with scalable and safe processes. You will plan pilot experiments, prepare PFD/P&ID documents, and drive technology transfer from lab to pilot and plant scale while ensuring on-time, right-first-time execution.

The role emphasizes planning, risk assessment, and thorough technical documentation to support scale-up and process safety.

Qualifications

• Prepare technical documents like PFD, P&ID, Equipment suitability, impurity profile and Mass & Material balance sheets, Risk assessment report.
• Review tech pack and prepare BPR, BCT and QMS documents.
• Plan and complete walkthrough with draft BPR, P&ID, Technology packages and Process safety report.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to PR&D for robust, scalable and safe processes.
• Share experiment details with scale-up prospective and analyze data to offer suggestions.
• Plan pilot experiments with clear objectives and close the pilot study reports.
• Complete documentation to ensure transfer and scale-up from lab to pilot and to plant scale on time.

Job description

• Provide technical support such what-if to the PR&D team to develop the robust, Scale-able and safe process. Share experiment details by considering the scale-up prospective, analyze the outcome of the data and provide suggestions.
• Plan pilot experiments with clear objectives and close the pilot study reports
• Prepare and fill process engineering checklist based on lab experiments for the unit process like reaction and unit operations like filtration, distillation, etc. Complete process engineering calculations with reasonable assumptions and basis
• Prepare technical documents like PFD, P&ID, Equipment suitability, impurity profile and Mass & Material balance sheets, Risk assessment report. Review tech pack and prepare BPR, BCT and QMS documents
• Plan and complete walkthrough with draft BPR, P&ID, Technology packages and Process safety report to check the fitment of facility and coordinate for completion of pending works
• Proactively complete all documentation works for seamless technology transfer and scale-up from lab to pilot and then from pilot to plant scale for its Right First Time (RFT) and On-time In Full (OTIF).
