Job summary

Asian Paints Limited in Mumbai, Maharashtra, invites applications for a Maintenance Engineer with a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering to join its Chemical Process plant maintenance team. You will plan and supervise preventive and predictive maintenance, coordinate with managers and contractors, and ensure safety and reliability of plant equipment.

This role requires about 1 year of industrial maintenance experience in chemical/petrochemical environments and familiarity with SAP MM for spares

Qualifications

• Should have 1 year of industrial maintenance experience in continuous process chemical/petrochemical industries.
• Exposure in maintenance of high/low speed rotary equipment, utilities.
• Experience in operation and maintenance of centrifuges, heat exchangers, cooling towers, utilities and distillation columns.
• Exposure in operation, maintenance of boiler / captive power plant.
• Thorough knowledge of basic engineering and machinery/equipment maintenance.
• Basic understanding of electrical & instrumentation.
• Thorough understanding and independent execution of preventive & predictive maintenance systems in chemical plants.
• Thorough understanding of safety requirements with interlocks of equipment.
• Basic knowledge of SAP MM for ordering material (spares & consumables) and availing services from external agencies.
• Basic knowledge of pipe, fittings, structural steel material, its properties & pipeline fabrication.
• Knowledge about troubleshooting tools to avoid reoccurrence.
• Basic knowledge about engineering standards.

Responsibilities

• Plan and supervise maintenance activities in chemical process plant.
• Coordinate with Managers for smooth plant operation and adherence to maintenance schedules.
• Coordinate with contractors for daily material issuance for maintenance.
• Plan & supervise equipment overhauls in coordination with company/contract fitters.
