Job summary

Varun Beverages Ltd. is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join the Plant Maintenance team at the Pathankot facility. The role involves overseeing electrical equipment performance, executing preventive and corrective maintenance, and driving energy efficiency improvements.

Candidates should hold a B.Tech/B.E. in Electrical Engineering with 2–5 years of relevant maintenance experience in manufacturing, FMCG, or food & beverage sectors.

Qualifications

• B.Tech/B.E. in Electrical Engineering.
• 2–5 years of relevant plant maintenance experience, preferably in manufacturing/FMCG/food & beverage.
• Hands-on experience in industrial electrical maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in preventive and breakdown maintenance planning.
• Knowledge of motors, MCC/PCC, panels, transformers, and DG sets.
• Familiarity with electrical safety standards, statutory compliance, and GMP.
• Ability to maintain detailed maintenance documentation and records.
• Experience coordinating with vendors/contractors.
• Good MS Office and maintenance management systems.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Ensure smooth functioning and maintenance of electrical equipment, machinery, and plant utilities.
• Plan and execute preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance activities.
• Troubleshoot electrical faults to minimize equipment downtime.
• Monitor and maintain electrical panels, MCCs, PCCs, motors, transformers, DG sets, and related systems.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, checklists, and equipment history.
• Coordinate with production and other departments for maintenance requirements and timely breakdown resolution.
• Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards, statutory requirements, and company SOPs.
• Monitor spare parts and consumables inventory and coordinate timely availability.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives for equipment reliability, energy efficiency, and downtime reduction.
• Liaise with contractors/vendors for maintenance and technical activities while adhering to safety, GMP, and engineering best practices.
