Job summary

Bimbo Bakeries India is seeking an experienced engineering leader to head the Engineering team at our Ernakulam plant. The role covers maintenance of plant and machinery, energy and utility management, and systematic preventive maintenance to ensure uninterrupted operations.

The ideal candidate has 3–10 years in FMCG/food engineering, with a BTech or Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, and a proven ability to drive safety, efficiency and continuous improvement across the facility.

Qualifications

• 3-10 years of engineering experience, preferably in FMCG/food industries.
• BTech or Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience in energy conservation and utility management.

Responsibilities

• Manage Engineering team and function.
• Maintenance of plant and machinery
• Engineering Inventory management
• Planning and scheduling preventive maintenance activities
• Running maintenance of plant and machineries
• Ensure uninterrupted power supply and monitoring consumption.
• Monitoring and ensuring optimized Fuel & Power consumption.
• Ensure uninterrupted water supply.
• Time bound upkeeping and maintenance of buildings and structures.
• Lead and implement energy conservation activities.
• Preparing various utility consumption reports. Comparing consumption with production and standards. Planning and implementation of corrective measures for negative variances if any.
• Scheduling safety audits, Providing training on 5S, Occupational health and environment safety to all employees.
• Working in collaboration with all departments to ensure smooth and safe working of factory.
• Ensure compliance with Company policies, standards and Regulatory requirements.
• Training and development of team of associates.
• Coordinating access control activities and train access control team for ensuring safety
• Weekly and Monthly Engg Reports preparation.
• Engg Stores activity along with Monthly PV.
• Achievement of Unit KPIs in respect of the function
• STP Operation to comply as per PCB norms
