Job summary

GRT Hotels & Resorts is seeking an Executive Housekeeper in Vijayawada to oversee all housekeeping operations, ensuring rooms, public areas and back-of-house spaces are clean, safe and well-maintained.

You will coordinate with front office and maintenance teams to promptly address guest needs and respond to room status updates, while handling guest feedback and service recovery when required.

Qualifications

• Strong housekeeping management skills, including oversight of linen care, room cleanliness, and hygiene standards.
• Excellent communication abilities to collaborate with team, departments and guests.
• Proven customer service focus with handling guest requests, feedback and service recovery.
• Solid organization skills for scheduling staff, inventories, budgets and records.
• Experience in staff training and developing standard operating procedures.
• Previous supervisory or managerial experience in hotel housekeeping.
• Knowledge of safety, sanitation and quality standards in hotel environments.
• Diploma or degree in Hotel Management or related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Role Description

The Executive Housekeeper role is a full-time, on-site position based at GRT Hotels & Resorts in Vijayawada.

The Executive Housekeeper oversees all housekeeping operations, ensuring guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces are clean, safe and well-maintained.

The role involves coordinating closely with front office and maintenance teams to respond promptly to guest needs and room status updates, as well as handling guest feedback and service recovery when required.

Qualifications

• Strong housekeeping management skills, including oversight of linen care, room cleanliness, and overall hygiene standards.
• Excellent Communication abilities to collaborate effectively with team members, other departments and guests.
• Proven Customer Service focus, with the ability to handle guest requests, feedback and service recovery professionally.
• Solid Organization Skills for scheduling staff, managing inventories, making budgets and maintaining accurate records and reports.
• Experience in staff Training, including coaching associates and Supervisors, developing standard operating procedures and driving performance.
• Previous supervisory or managerial experience in hotel housekeeping or related hospitality operations.
• Knowledge of safety, sanitation and quality standards relevant to hotel environments.
• Diploma or degree in Hotel Management or a related field is preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as required by hotel operations.
