Job summary

Polycab India Limited seeks a Mechanical maintenance engineer to oversee preventive maintenance for plant machinery and utilities in Gujarat. The role emphasizes reducing downtime, executing scheduled maintenance, and implementing energy-saving projects.

You will work with a team to monitor alarms, manage spares, and ensure safety and compliance while optimising costs and MTTR/MTBF metrics. The candidate should have a BE or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with 2–7 years of hands-on experience

Qualifications

• BE/diploma Mechanical with 2–7 years of experience.
• Technical knowledge of preventive and maintenance of utility viz RO/Softener/Compressor/DG set/UPS/Sub-station.
• Knowledge of electrical schematic drawing.
• ERP system MIS and budgeting expenses.

Responsibilities

• Arrange spare parts to minimize breakdown time.
• Decrease the breakdown percentage.
• Create purchase requests and raise PR for maintenance materials.
• Ensure minimum machine breakdowns by performing preventive maintenance.
• Create an incident-free and pollution-free environment for zero incidents and zero pollution.
