Job summary

Amneal Pharmaceuticals in Gujarat seeks an experienced EH&S professional to lead environmental, health and safety programs, ensuring regulatory compliance and strengthening workplace safety across manufacturing operations.

You will develop policies, conduct training, manage audits, investigations, CAPAs, and maintain documentation to support audit readiness and continuous improvement in a fast-paced pharmaceutical setting.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain EH&S compliance policies, SOPs, and procedures
• Ensure alignment with environmental, health, safety, and statutory regulations
• Design and coordinate EH&S compliance training programs
• Track and ensure employee completion of mandatory EH&S training
• Conduct EH&S compliance audits and program assessments
• Monitor adherence to EH&S policies, standards, and procedures
• Investigate EH&S complaints, incidents, and non-compliance cases
• Recommend and track corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs)
• Verify closure and effectiveness of identified deficiencies

Responsible for executing environmental, health, and safety (EH&S) programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, workplace safety standards, and environmental protection guidelines across operational areas. The role manages identification and evaluation of workplace hazards, environmental risks, and unsafe conditions, supporting implementation of preventive measures and corrective actions. It contributes to conducting safety audits, environmental monitoring, and compliance inspections, ensuring adherence to internal EH&S procedures and applicable regulations. The position participates in incident investigations, risk assessments, and safety performance reporting, helping strengthen workplace safety and regulatory compliance. It also facilitates employee safety training and awareness initiatives, while maintaining accurate EH&S documentation, compliance records, and audit readiness to support safe and sustainable operations.
