Job summary

Becon in Mumbai, Maharashtra invites an Executive - Data Analyst to join our Procurement team. You will drive data-driven decision-making by analyzing procurement data end-to-end and delivering insights to improve efficiency and cost savings.

You will build MIS reports and Power BI dashboards, clean and model data in Excel, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate data into business outcomes. Prior 1–3 years in data analytics with procurement is preferred.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of data analytics experience with procurement knowledge.
• Power BI or analytics role experience.
• Hands-on BI tool experience including data modelling and measures.
• Basic Python and SQL knowledge.
• Strong business understanding and ability to tie data to outcomes.
• Good communication to explain analyses to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple requests.

The role will focus on end-to-end analysis of procurement data, helping improve efficiency, identify cost-saving opportunities, and enable better purchasing decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse procurement spend, purchase orders, vendor data, pricing, and purchasing trends.
• Build and maintain MIS reports and Power BI dashboards to track procurement performance.
• Use Excel to clean, analyse, and reconcile procurement data.
• Track vendor performance, pricing, lead times, and purchase efficiency.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities, data discrepancies, and process inefficiencies.
• Support teams with data-driven insights for vendor negotiations and decision-making.
• Automate repetitive reports and manual procurement processes.
• Work with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver actionable analysis.

What We're Looking For

• 1-3 years of experience in a data analyst with procurement knowledge, Power BI or analytics role.
• Hands-on experience with a BI tool (Power BI preferred), including data modelling and calculated measures.
• Basic knowledge of Python and SQL will be a plus.
• Good business and commercial understanding, with the ability to connect data to business outcomes.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to explain analysis to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple support requests efficiently.
