  • Prepare detailed audit reports documenting discrepancies, missing items, damaged assets, and other variances, including suggestions for process improvements.
  • Coordinate with departments such as inventory, finance, and procurement to understand asset movements and resolve issues related to physical verification.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements while conducting audits.
  • Proactively identify areas where physical verification processes can be improved, suggesting changes to reduce errors and enhance accuracy.

Job description (About the Role)

We are seeking a diligent and detail-orientedAuditor to conduct physical verification of inventory, assets, and other business resources. The role involves ensuring the accuracy of physical assets in comparison to records, identifying discrepancies, and supporting internal audit processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of audit practices, inventory management, and internal controls, with a minimum qualification as Graduate.

Key Deliverables (What Will You Do)

  • Physical Verification of Assets: Conduct physical verification of fixed assets, inventory, and other resources at various locations and compare with system records.
  • Inventory Audits: Perform regular and surprise inventory audits across warehouses, stores, or production units to ensure accuracy and integrity of stock records.
  • Documentation: Prepare detailed audit reports documenting discrepancies, missing items, damaged assets, and other variances, including suggestions for process improvements.
  • Coordination: Coordinate with relevant departments such as inventory, finance, and procurement to understand asset movements and resolve issues related to physical verification.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements while conducting audits.
  • Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify areas where physical verification processes can be improved, suggesting changes to reduce errors and enhance accuracy.

Job Specification (What Will You Need)

  • Education: B.Com or equivalent degree in finance, accounting, or related field.
  • Experience: 1 to 2 years of experience in auditing, physical verification, or inventory management roles. Experience with stock audits or asset verification is preferred.
  • Knowledge: Understanding of audit practices and principles and familiarity with inventory management systems and controls.

  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze discrepancies, trends, and variances in data.
